Diego's POV
The panic that was rising inside my chest was becoming almost unbearable. It felt as if my insides decided it was time to start changing their positions inside of me. Everything around me became a big blur and the sounds just didn't get to me; well almost all the sounds. Gabriella sat in the passenger seat cluching onto the armrests and yelling at me. Car horns went off all around me but I could care less, I needed to get to the hospital.
"YOU'RE GOING TO MISS THE FUCKING ENTRANCE DIEGO!! TURN DAMN IT!" She yelled.
"Baby deep breaths okay? Remember you have to stay calm for the baby." I tried to reason with her as I parked the car.
"I know what I'm doing Diego! I have been caring this child for six and a half months. Lets go, I don't want to miss the birth of my little niece." She snapped at me as she began to walk towards the hospital.
Emely went into labor today at work and she was rushed to the hospital. She's been in labor for at least five hours. I didn't tell Gabriella until after we finished with our appointment at the clinic. I hadn't thought that not telling her would cause her to flip shit on me.
"Diego!" Gabriella called out.
"Yes?" I ask a little wary.
"Where is she located?" Her facial structure was set in a determined look.
Damn this woman is going to be the end of me.
"Follow me." I simply said and started pulling her towards the elevators.
Being in the elevator with Gabriella was very intense. Her hormones seemed to get the better of her and we have done things that I never thought I would do, in an elevator.
Glancing down at her I watched as she absent-mindedly rubbed her baby bump. A smile made its way onto my lips. Our little child was in there, growing and waiting for the perfect time to come out and grace us with its presence.
"You are going to be a gorgeous mom." I softly kissed her forehead.
"And you a handsome dad." She smiled up at me.
Placing my hand ontop of hers, on our child, I felt at home. "Our little baby."
The elevators door opening burst our little bubble and Gabriella seemed to remember why we were here in the first place. Pulling on my hand she headed down the hall towards the desk, most likely to asked for Emely's room number. Instead of letting her walk towards them I lightly pulled her towards Emely's room. The closer we got to more voices I could here.
Oh god I hope that Rebecca left the whole family in the waiting room.
Rounding the corner I sighed in relief. Rebecca and her husband along with Victor and his wife, were sitting along the wall with my parents. Looking up Rebecca saw us and motioned for us to come closer. Gabriella happily approached them and ingulfed them in a heart warming hug.
"How was the drive here?" Victor asked.
"Well I think I broke my speeding record from High School." I joked.
"¿Porque estabas manejando rapido?¿ Te das cuenta que ella esta cargando a tú bebe?" My mom threw her hands up in frustration,"¡Pero claro que sabes! No podias mantener tú pito en tus pantalones." (Why were you driving so fast? Are you aware that she is carring your baby? But of course you know! You couldn't keep your dick in your pants!)
We all stood there looking at my mom in shock. Victor's laughter was the first thing to break our silence. Rebecca soon joined in and so did my dad. Sure my mom was right about me not being able to keep it in my pants. I never heard Gabriella complain though. Thinking it over I internally smiled as I thought of what I was about to say.
