Gabriella's POV

Walking down the candy aisle of the supermarket I came to a stop when I finally spotted the candy I was looking for. The York chocolate bag sat there on the shelf looking oh so tempting. Reaching up on my tippy toes I grunted in pain when I felt a stabbing sensation in my abdomen. Rubbing my stomach I took deep breathes until the pain passed. All morning I have been having these weird pains and they won't go away. I researched it in the morning and I found out that they could possibly be the beginning of contractions. Some women have contractions for a few days before they give birth. Crazy huh?!

Walking back towards where I last saw Diego, I rubbed my tummy. Just thinking about having my baby in my arms makes me so happy and emotional. Passing by the Flamming Hot Cheetos I couldn't help but grabbing a few bags. Humming to myself I continue on my trek on finding Diego.

A sharp unexpected pain shots through me as I neared the baby isle. The pain so intense I dropped the bags and clutched to my stomach willing the pain to go away. Taking deep breaths I slowed my altered heart beat. Damn and no one comes to my rescue, those movies are way to far fetched. Just as I'm about to bend down to pick up my bags pale slim hands reach them before I get a chance.

"Here you go ma'am." A young girl says to me as she hands me back my things.

Her blonde hair pulled up into a bun and her sparkling green stared back at me in wonder. Her eyes looked down to my bulging stomach and seeing her eyes widen slightly I chuckled.

"Do you want to feel?" I asked.

"Oh...uh...no...well yes, if that's alright?" She stuttered.

"Of course you can. Here give me your hand." I offered my outstretched hand to her.

Her hands trembled slightly and they were a bit clammy to the touch but that must be because of the nerves. Putting her hand over the top of where my lil boy has been most active I waited. As soon as I felt him stir my lips turned into a smile. She gasped when she felt the kick underneath her small hand.

"Does it hurt?" She asked as she rubbed my stomach.

"Not really. When he first started moving I got so scared he didn't have enough room to move around." I declared.

She laughed lightly. This young girl made me feel at ease and not many people had the advantage of me Saying that about them now a days.

"I'm Gabriella. What's your name sweetheart?" I asked.

"My name is Steph." Her whole attitude seemed to change as soon as I asked. Maybe it was something that had to do with her past.

"How old are you?"

"My age is irrelevant. It was nice to meet you Gabriella and I bet your son is going to be a looker." She smiled at me before turning around and walking away.

Just as I was about to step forward Diego walked out of the isle ahead cutting right in front of Steph. I will never forget the look he got in his eyes. It seemed as if he had seen a ghost.

Oh god.

Diego's POV

Staring back at me stood James' little sister, Stephanie.

"Don't make a scene and keep walking. I already stretched my stay to long talking with your wife. Congrats on the kid. I'll see you around Diego." She barely moved her lips as she talked.

Muttering a 'sorry' she moved around me and kept walking. Shock was the only word that I could use to describe how I felt. This young girl was living on her own - with the help of my friend - and besides that she was now caring for a one year old child.
