Gabriella's POV

In the movie they say that before you die your life flashes before your eyes.

They lied though.

Not only about that but about how everything seems to slow down.

Lies!

Before the man shot at me nothing slowed down, it actually felt like time sped up. My mind didn't have enough time to actually register what was happening. My thoughts were on the simple fact that Diego and I would never have any beautiful children.

I want to fight against the darkness that had wrapped around my mind. My limbs wouldn't move and it frustrated me to a new level. I fought against the the heavy feeling that settled in my chest, for God knows how long. Every once in a while I would hear voices, but just as I heard them they would disappear. It frightened me because I had no control over what they did to my body. I had no way to stop him or them over what they would do to Lanie. She was another reason I hadn't given up yet.

Lanie was my soul sister. We had been there for each other on every occasion and we helped each other through High School and University. If he or they harmed her in any way they are going to wish they could find a way to go back in time and prevent their mother from having them. I will torture them slowly and have absolutly no mercy for them.

".......... a week and nothing yet......"
"....waiting for the.......time....."
The voices were back and now I could distinguish them as male voices.

What were they talking about waiting for? What hasn't happened in a week? Holy shit have I been asleep for that long? What about Lanie is she okay? Last time I saw her she was passed out and there was so much blood everywhere.

Is Diego looking for us? Or had he just forgotten us and moved on?

No Gabriella. You will not think like that! Diego would never just forget me just like that.

I felt myself waking up more but I forced my breathing to stay steady. My hands and fingers really wanted to twitch and move after days of staying still. My toes wiggled slightly under the blankets that covered my legs. Wait what....

Hearing the mens voices fading away my first thought was that I was going back to the darkness that seemed to consume me. But I could still move my fingers and toes so that meant that the men were going away. Not knowing if the men had gone away I opened my eyes into a slit. The lighting in the room was really low and the colors of the walls were dark so the light didn't hurt my eyes as much as I though it would. Opening my eyes completly I look around and take in every detail. Sitting up slightly I winced as my back popped several times. Looking at the furniture in the room I could tell no one had used this place for a long time. Dust covered a lot of the surface and dead insects laying in the corners. There wasn't a single window in sight though.

Throwing the blanket off of me I swung my legs over the side of the bed. Just as my toes touched the cold floor the doors flew open. Standing there looking back at me a man with sandy blonde hair and brown eyes stood in a fighting stance.

"Finally Sleeping Beauty is awake!" He exclaimed with a smirk on his lips.

"Who the fuck do you think you are calling me Sleeping Beauty?" Anger suddenly coursed through my veins and even though my voice was horse I lashed out.

"Seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." His smirk faltered a little.

"Seems like someone forgot to put on their pretty face." I retorted earning a glare from the man.
