Gabriella's POV
"Four years ago," I started," I was about to get married to the man whom I thought was the love of my life."
Diego visibly stiffened.
"Anthony and I had dated for a long time and I truely believed we were going to get married and start a family. I was the happiest woman alive as I had walked down the aisle. All my family and friends were there to watch me take the next step in my life. When I reached Anthony I felt like nothing could dampen my mood. As the preacher began Anthony suddenly stopped him. Apparently he didn't really love me. He just wanted to take over my fathers wine business. The week before my dad had handed the company over to my brother. Anthony pulled out a gun and pointed it at my dad and I quickly jumped in front of it to save my dad."
I took a shakey breathe and wiped at the tears running down my face.
"I was shot that day for the first time. Anthony was sent to prison and I lost my child." Sobs escaped me and my body shook from the pain I was going through again.
Diego quickly came over to me and wrapped his arms around me. I felt so safe in his arms. Like nothing could possibly go wrong just being with him.
"I was planning on telling Anthony that night. That we had created a human being together. I had been so happy when I found out. The bullet had killed my baby instantly. No one knew I was pregnant until the doctors told my parents after they finished operating on me. I had to go to therapy for a few months afterwards and-"
Suddenly Diego's lips silenced me. Passion coursed through my body as Diego's hands started roaming my body. He bit down lightly on my bottom lip asking for entrance into my mouth. Tingles erupted inside of me as our tongues touched. I felt like I was running out of breathe. Slowly and hesitantly we pulled apart. Diego rested his forehead against mine.
"He's a lucky bastard that he's in prison right now. If he wasn't I would be out there trying to find him just to kill him slowly and painfully." Diego broke the silence.
"Diego, I don't like talking about that event. I just wanted you to know because I want us to be open in our relationship." I explained as I looked straight into his eyes.
"Can you still have babies?" He asked.
"Of course I can!" I tried to look offended.
"I mean I just didn't-"
I burst out laughing from his reaction.
"I know, I know. But in all seriousness I can have babies, hopefully, I haven't tried getting pregnant, yet."
Something along the lines of mischief flashed through his eyes. He tightened his grip on my waist and pushed himself up against me. He was now standing in between my legs, and honestly I didn't mind what so ever. Yeah, yeah we just had a very deep and huge confession but that was in the past. It was time to live in the present and learn to embrace the past or at least understand that if we hadn't gone through the shit we went through, we wouldn't be who we are today.
"Do you want to try now?" His voice was husky and it was a huge turn on.
"I would but I want to know where Lanie is first."
"Lanie is...."
"Is?"
"Salvador." His hands were on my thighs and I really was starting to regret not wearing any shorts.
"What about Salvador?" My voice came out breathey.
"He took her." His hands started inching upwards as he kissed my neck.
