Diego's POV
It's been two days.
Two fucking days since I last saw Gabriella. Sure for some people it didn't seem like a lot but it was pure torture for me. She wouldn't answer any of my calls or any of my texts and her friend Lanie wouldn't let me talk to her.
All over a big misunderstanding.
Two Days Earlier.......
After dropping Gabriella off at my place I headed to Emely's place. I hadn't seen her in at least 3 months and I was honestly sort of missing her. Her and I had been very close growing up and Rebecca had made sure we didn't lose contact. Emely and Rebecca had a fall-out of some sort though and they had stopped talking about a year ago.
Pulling over next to the big condo building I stepped out of the truck and walked towards the doors. I hadn't visited this place in a while and everything looked almost the same. The floor were an almost blinding silver color and the decorations made the place look bleak and sterile. Stepping into the elevator a pretty blonde teen stepped in after me. Pressing the button for the fourth floor she stepped in front of me and pressed the fifth floor button.
I stood there looking straight ahead and trying my hardest to ignore the looks the girl was giving me.
"Aren't you Diego Reyes?" She asked.
"And if I am?" I retorted.
"Is it true that you're dating Gabriella Hernandez?" I saw her raised an eyebrow from the corner of my eye.
"Yes and we are happily expecting a baby so we are to marry soon," I said with annoyance clear in my voice.
"OMG! That is so awesome, congrats," she squealed.
The elevators opened and my legs couldn't have carried me any faster.
What the hell is it with people and getting in my business?
Going down the hall I stopped in front of Emely's door. Knocking twice and kicking the door lightly I waited for her to open the door. A few seconds later the door opened to reveal a very worried looking Emely.
Her hair was pulled up into a sloppy bun and she was wearing sweat pants with a tank top. She had never looked like this even after I told her I couldn't see her for a while to let the press die down a bit. Her eyes looked blood-shot and her nails seemed to have been almost chewed down to a stub.
"¡Gracias a Dios que ya estas aqui!" She exclaimed as she threw her arms around me (Thank God that you're here!).
"Is it really that bad?" I asked hugging her back.
"I don't know what to do anymore Diego! I've tried almost everything," She cried into my shoulder.
"Come on let's get inside and then we can talk about our plan of action. How's Tony?" I asked leading her into her living room after making sure the door was closed and locked.
"Isacc came to take him to school. Isacc acts like he's Tony's dad instead of his Uncle." She said sadly as she sat down on the couch.
"Where is Tony's dad, Emely?" I asked concerened.
"He was deployed about a month ago."
"I've really missed a lot haven't I?"
"Don't worry about it D." She closed her eyes sleepyly.
"Where is he?" I got up and started to head towards the guest room.
"Where you used to stay," she replied making me stop dead in my tracks.
