chapter 28

we get to this place and inside it looks so expensive.

"vinnie you really didn't have to do all this" i say as he pulls the chair out for me

i take a seat

he sits down

"i know but it's our first date and i wanted it to be special since we had to reschedule so many times" he says

i giggle "thank you for this. truly"

"no need to thank me" he says

we order our food and wait til he gets here

"do you have any plans after we graduate?" he asks me

"i haven't thought about it really" i say "my brother wants to join the military, he's actually doing the training right now, um my mom is always on her stupid business trips and i'm home alone mainly. do you?"

he smiles

"i actually wanna be a doctor" he says
(i don't fucking know 😭)

i'm truly impressed.

"what makes you wanna become a doctor" i ask

"just to be able to save a life is so cool to think about" he says passionate "but obviously i'm ready for the bad days"

i listen to him go on about how badly he wants this. he's perfect. he's everything.

"you're really looking forward to medical school huh" i say smiling

he laughs and nods

our food comes and we just talk and talk and talk about what he wants do when he grows up. i didn't say much about me because i'm not the type of person to tell my story unless they've been here long enough but i still enjoyed listening to him and seeing that smile.

"at least let me pitch in some money" i say

he laughs again "no it's fine really. i don't mind at all"

he pays for the food and we head back to the car and head back to my place

"it's 9:48" i say laughing

"at least i brought you home before 10" he tells me, laughing along

"i uh had a lot of fun vinnie" i say smiling like crazy

"i did too y/n" he says

he wraps his hands around my waist, pulling me closer. i place my hands on his neck and lean in. our lips finally connect and i feel butterflies in my stomach. his soft lips against mine felt right

we pull away laughing

"goodnight y/n y/l/n"

"goodnight vinnie" i say as i open the door

i close the door and take off my heels

i walk into the living room and see the boys on the game laughing and smiling

at least they're friends again

"oh hey" alejandro says "how was your date"

i smile "it was amazing really"

"really? i'm glad you had fun" he says

"i'll be back i'm gonna change into some comfortable clothes" i say

i go upstairs and change into some sweatpants and a shirt. i go back downstairs and watch the boys play fifa

the door opens and it's ava

"hey" she says

all of a sudden they're quiet

"hey ava" kairi says

but the other 2 aren't even looking at her

i turn my head to her and i can see she's been feeling bad

"give her break idiots" i say "alejandro you cheated on her and here she is still in the same house as you and mattia bitch that's your sister"

i grab her by her wrist and take her upstairs

"i miss him" ava says, her voice sounding like she's about to cry

i hug her

"and you have every right to" i say "have you tried talking to him?"

she nods her head

"he can't even look at me" she tells me

"show him what he's missing out on ava. you didn't do anything bad. he's the one in the wrong" i tell her "when you caught him literally fucking another girl you had every right to react that way. he doesn't because you guys are on a break"

"yea you're right" she says "how'd it go with vinnie"

i smile at the thought of him

"he's amazing" i say "he wants to be a doctor"

"did you guys do it yet" she says

"are you serious you dork" i say "i'm saving it until i feel like he's the right person"

we hear a knock at my door

"open" i say

the door opens and it's alejandro

"can i talk to you" he says looking at ava

she looks back at me

"go i'll be here when you're done" i say

she smiles lightly and walks out with alejandro. soon enough my door opens again and it's mattia otp arguing with someone

"i didn't do anything" he says pacing back and forth "dude i literally grew up with her"

does he not see me?

"we're not even dating and you're tripping on me for what" he says

"dude you can't break up with me if we're not even fucking dating- okay yea whatever idc leave me alone"

i giggle "who was that"

he sits down next to me

"um a friend" he says

"that did not sound like a friend" i say

it looks like something is bother him badly. his facial expressions give it away.

"are you okay" i ask

"huh yea i'm just exhausted" he says

"you can sleep in angel's room if you're too tired to drive back" i say

"thanks" he says

"no problem, it's what friends do" i say

"yea, friends." he says sounding a bit salty

i nod my head awkwardly

"friends" i softly say

"um how was it with vinnie" he asks

"it was amazing actually" i say "we talked a lot"

"you haven't had sex with him yet? oh god you have to escape" he says

i giggle

"shut up it's not all about sex" i say "you and your sister share sex in common"

i laugh
