The night of the ball was very special.It felt like a dream.But there they were laying in Xander's bed after an amazing night. "Good morning my love" Xander said in his morning voice.It gave Athena butterflies.Xander then started to play with her hair out of bordem. "One question but why did you change your hair,I loved it". "Well I wanted to fit in plus I could change it back I just want to give this hair a chance for a little bit.Also what you said last night...did you mean it?" "Of course I did,I meant every word.I just wish I said something earlier." "Also one other thing the night you gave me my necklace are you sure I had just dreamt of everything because that kiss felt too real to be a dream". "Fine I lied.I Don't know what I was thinking.I was in denial that I even liked you but I do.Plus I guess I wanted our first kiss to be memorable." "Wow I knew I wasn't crazy and also it wouldn't of mattered." "I know but I want everything to be perfect for you".After their talk they just looked at each other for what seemed to be forever.

For the next few weeks they were clearly in love and couldn't keep their hands off each other.Any second they could they spent time together.Whether it was having a picnic,sleeping together,making out,or even doing normal things they were inseparable.No one knew of their secret of being together.Eventually Athena's birthday rolled around.Her first birthday with him.He made sure the day was perfect for her.They had a picnic,a trip to the village,a trip to his library where they sat on a couch by the fireplace while reading her favorite book before making out.But little did she know her time with him might be coming to an end.His birthday was coming up but he did not want to tell her.In order for the curse to be broken they had to profess their love for each other but he didn't want to rush anything.Another few months past and his birthday was approaching.He was getting sicker but he couldn't tell her.The night before his birthday he gave her some gifts,books,other things she liked,a promise ring,and a dagger to protect herself.She was confused by the dagger but she accepted it anyway.They also had sex to end the night.But in the next few months everything was going to change.
