Looks Don't Define Who You Are

You were Sitting with the man named wade As you guys continue to talk about all sorts of things, You two finished your meals and set them aside. You were so curious about the merc, about his face, his life, and how he got the job he has or what has happened to him. You never really seen him open up nor talk about himself much. It's always been him asking questions about you and the more he asks the more you want to ask too. You didn't want to offend the man or make him uncomfortable. He was blabbering about some topic but again, you were lost in your own thoughts wondering so many things at once. He was sitting right next to you and you were sitting with your feet tucked in under you. You dozed out to the point where you forgot what he was saying or doing. You wondered if maybe you can ask things about him without him pushing you away, You notice he distances himself from time to time and it made you realize how many things he hides. "Y/N! are you listening to me talking about the time where I met wolverine!?" he said in an annoyed tone making you snap back to reality, "Sorry, I was just thinking.." You apologize quietly as you take a sip of your drink. "You are sometimes really weird Y/N, You tend to doze of at random times! Watcha thinking in that brain of yours?" He asked while laughing, You grew a bit nervous not wanting to actually piss him off. This man is known to be the sunniest dude ever yet he can have a really dark side to him. "Why don't you ever take off your mask Wade?" He looks at you as his Smile faded away, "Sorry- Sorry I was just curious-" He cut you off. "It's okay, Everyone wonders why I don't take it off or What happened to me!" He said quietly. He put down his drink on the table and sat back with me, "Do you mind me asking of what happened?.." You said looking at him before he sighed, "Well a long time ago I still had the job of a bounty hunter but I got uhm Diagnosed with cancer, Specifically Stage 4 cancer and I honestly was really scared for my life." He said with a Mellow tone catching your attention, Your heart dropped feeling worried and Bad for him. "Soon after I was trying to distract myself when A man offered a deal for a cure. Me being the idiot believed him thinking he'll cure me, At the time i had a girlfriend and she was actually one of the sweetest person ever. I told her what was going on and she looked genuinely happy for me. I took the deal and It was probably the worse mistake of my life... Uh well, they used me meaning they experimented and tortured me since i didn't follow the rules. The leader of the whole business thing basically tortured me until i ended up escaping. Though I was cursed with life, I became immortal and honestly probably the worse thing that has ever been told to me. I myself suffer from a lot of bullshit from my past but I got a lot of strength and a healing factor meaning if someone cuts my body parts in half I somehow still live- Which probably is the weirdest thing ever since my limbs restart to grow. Like every hero or villain's past, they Lose someone or something they love and that's something I hate about Life." I tilt my head in a confused way, "I mean I always do get my revenge but nothing can reverse the stuff that has happened. I Lost my girl due to it I mean I am honestly over it since it happened at least 4 years ago though I fear of that happening again sometimes too." His voice was shaky making you feel horrible about what happened, "Woah Ahah I haven't uh really opened up about what happened but yeah that's.. basically it Y/N." He said while sitting up, You were shocked of what happened to him and now understood why Colossus was very pushy. "Im sorry that happened to you wade- Honestly that must've been traumatizing. I Don't really know what to say because I never knew anything about that. It makes sense now and it's reasonable for you to not open up at all. Sometimes that's okay but you'll end up going insane- well more insane if you don't let go of what hurts you the most.. I know how you feel about losing someone and It makes us wonder why it happened or even worse we blame ourselves. Overall I really am sorry that happened to you wade." He looked over to her and was a bit in shock of how well she was able to actually attempt to comfort him and understand what happened. He slowly nodded and Felt better letting all of it out, He didn't give details but he knew that she was actually right. He cant be bottling up all those feelings or else he will be even more miserable. "The amount of times I tried ending it is actually so funny because it never worked. It never even seem to work it just damaged people or things around me too." He said chuckling attempting to lighten up the mood. "By all means, I know how you feel- About feeling trapped in one place and just slowly falling apart mentally to the point where you give up. I've been there and somehow I'm still there too but we all need support and overall we learn how to cope with some things. Like for example, I cope by drawing or just planting stuff because it calms me.. I mean what you cope with is with slaughtering bad guys but that's okay because they deserve it." You giggle while looking right at him when he was just fidgeting around with a knife, "It's pretty weird of how understandable you can be Y/N, I never met anyone like you before who not only understands but relates and knows what to say. Unlike me, i tend to make people feel worse because I'm really bad at comforting people" he burst out laughing as you giggle once again, "As long as you try then that's what matters.." You said making a gentle smile while taking another sip of your drink. "honestly whatever hides under that mask won't ever define who you are, it matters on the inside, not the outside wade. Of course, I mean people are going to be jerks but as long as you have the people who support you then you'll be okay!" You said cheerfully making him chuckle again. You saw his hand put down the knife and move onto his neck where his mask was tucked in under his suit. You look at him and tilt your head as he takes off the mask gently. Before you can see his face he covers it with a Pillow, You laughed and tried moving his muscular arm out of the way. "You can trust me wade-" You said reassuring him as He slowly puts his arm down. You smile gently seeing Wade's face as it was heavily scarred, He looked away nervously making you smile more. "As I said, Looks don't define who you truly are." You said calmly making him look at you. "I look like a deformed ball sack.." He said while face palming, You begin to burst out laughing at what he said. "You do look like a deformed ball sack but that's what makes you so unique wade, I understand what happened to you but don't be so mean to yourself. You are still a good person even if you are literally insane and deformed or whatever label you give yourself." You said hugging the side of him, He sighed and shrugged. "You are still a good person-You arent a monster nor a freak. I assume by those assholes who say that to you, You are still an awesome man." You confirmed again trying to make him feel comfortable, You slowly open your arms to give him a friendly hug when he hugged your waist gently, "You have really squishy Boobies.." He noted while hugging you, You burst out laughing again and tried pushing him away when obviously he was too strong. You giggled and hugged back feeling relieved that he actually opened up to you. You two decided to watch a movie just to make time pass by, You were thankful to actually become close with Wade knowing how confusing he can be.
