Shuichi scanned his eyes around the cafeteria, trying to find one person in particular among the several students currently enjoying taking a break from the nonstop grind of their classes.
They were in the same class but hardly ever interacted, and now he was going to actively find her and ask her for help with something he didn't even know how to define, and his seeking her help was almost entirely based on just what he had heard about her. It didn't seem like a particularly good idea now that he thought about it more, but he had nowhere else to turn. He just hoped she'd have something that could potentially be helpful.
It had been a week since Kokichi had come back, and he had been doing a lot of research. His search history probably resembled that of a paranoid, superstious mental patient that had been watching way too many horror movies. He had come up with exactly nothing regarding how to assist his friend-he supposed it was alright to call him that now- that was dealing with a severe case of not alive.
He eventually saw her sitting on the far side of the cafeteria, away from most of the other people, along with some other girl. He sighed heavily, knowing how awkward it was going to be to try and approach her but having no other options, and walked towards her.
She was a short red-haired girl with a pouty face, wearing a pair of star-patterned overalls and a red plaid flannel, along with a pentagram necklace and matching earrings. A much taller girl with dark and very long hair twisted into two braids sat with her arm draped around her shoulders.
"Um, hey..." Shuichi greeted them uncomfortably. The smaller girl looked up curiously and the other one glared at him with enough ferocity to kill an army.
"Nyeh, hello, how can I help you?" The red-haired girl asked.
"Don't bother yourself with him! Leave us alone, you degenerate!" She screamed. Shuichi winced, and the smaller girl gave an irritated sigh.
"Be nice, Tenko. For all we know he's here to tell us we won a million dollars. Imagine that..."
"Well-" Shuichi started to cut in.
"Silence, degenerate! We don't want your filthy male money!" The taller- apparently Tenko?- yelled.
"I just wanted to talk to her about something. I... don't have any money. " Shuichi bit his lip, afraid that if he said something wrong that Tenko would dropkick him into the sun.
"Don't-" Tenko started to say something, but the smaller girl pressed a finger to her lips. She blushed slightly.
"Tenko, can you go find Gonta for me? I need to ask him something important." She asked, knowing all too well that Gonta was outside catching insects and would likely be very caught up in what he was doing and nearly impossible to find.
"You want me to leave you alone with this degenerate male?!" She yelled.
"Please, babe?" The red-haired girl asked, adding a hug to strengthen the effect. Tenko sighed, glaring at Shuichi.
"Fine. Only because you asked me. I'll be back soon enough. You better not try anything on her!" She glared accusingly at Shuichi at her last statement.
"Um, I won't."
"You'd better not!" Tenko stood up and blew a kiss at the small girl, who blinked a few times, before running out to find Gonta.
"Nyeh... this better be quick. I don't like lying to her, and she'll find him eventually. What's wrong? Here, sit down." She offered. He nodded and sat accross from her.
