Unfaithful

Chapter 4

Ayaan saw the comment on his picture that he posted and his heart skipped a beat after all he loved Simi. He can't totally blame her for their break up,  he checked her profile but regretted right away. He saw pics of her with her new Co-actor in some party and that made him upset, he didn't reply to her comment.
Meher noticed the change on his face and it was so unlike her but she actually checked his Instagram and saw Simi commented, she was surprised that she just did that but somehow she was getting attracted to him. She wondered if it was the good looks or something else. But she hardly knows him she doesn't know what he likes what he doesn't whether he is short tempered or mean or a happy person she has no clue. She wondered if she is getting attracted just because he is a star he is a hot cake?
Laili Bano suggested they play Antakshari and everyone agreed.
Arshi:: so how about we make teams?
Laili:: oh in that case me and my husband
Mohsin (Meher's dad):: oh no then I'll never get a chance to sing
Laili:: at least you know you will win and also you can't sing so be happy
And the bhabis quickly chose their partners as their partner so it was Meher and Ayaan
M:: what about me then? Do I get all the kids who hardly knows Hindi and not even interested in what we are doing?
Arshi:: Meher you get Ayaan and trust me he knows a lot of Hindi songs
Ayaan:: forget it Di, she didn't even see me sitting right next to her
Laili:: Meher it's you and Ayaan, be happy Ayaan knows how to sing unlike your dad who always misses the beat
Aziz:: thank God maa I got your singing abilities
Hearing this Meher started laughing out loud and her Bhabi too
Laili:: you girls are so mean!!! Ok let's start the game and stop the fight. How about Arshi you start with any letter
Arshi starts with Ajeeb Dastaan hain yeh and she sings fairly well then it was Laili's turn and the letter was M and she sang Mujhe neend na aya mujhe chain na aye in a dramatic way which was very entertaining and the Antakshari continued Meher and Ayaan always had some songs ready if someone got stuck. Wali and his fiancé couldn't find a song with N so Meher sang Neela aasman so gaya and the way she sang Ayaan just couldn't stop looking at her.  He was also impressed that she knew a lot of old songs which people living in India doesn't know nowadays.
As they were singing Meher's little 2year old niece got obsessed with Ayaan, she kept going to him and insisted him to carry her so she sat on his lap and Ayaan was actually happy carrying her around.
Laili:: I was always Ayaan's big fan and I see my granddaughter could see what I've seen and she is his fan now.
Ayaan:: actually aunty I have become her fan, I remember Arshi Di coming to India during summer vacation when the kids were around her age. I love kids this age they are just so cute
Ali (Arshi's 7 yr old son):: Mamu we are not cute anymore?
Meher:: oh my God Ali you are the cutest boy I've ever met, I love how you dance and you got dimples too. Even your Mamu doesn't have that.
Ali was in love with Meher from the time he met her few months back, Afreen was the 5 year old daughter and even she loved Meher because she felt Meher was so stylish and she loves her hair.
A:: Meher another secret is even Ali likes you a lot
M:: awwww how cute. Ali I love you baby....
Ali started blushing and smiled and Afreen was feeling left out then Meher hugged Afreen and said she was the most beautiful 5year old she has ever seen.
It was like a competition going on whose kids likes who the the most and between all this Sana the 2 year old fell asleep on his lap and for quite some time she kept waking up whenever her mother tried taking her. Ayaan was sweet enough to take her to the bed after sometime, he was actually not doing all this to impress anyone he was enjoying everything may be he wanted something different in his life now may be he wanted to settle down and he always wanted kids coz he loves kids. But he had no clue these things were actually very attractive for girls, and Meher was no different she could see her father and brothers trait in him and every girl wants her husband someone like their dad or brothers. On top of that she couldn't get over the fact the he is way too good looking to be real. In her mind now she was thanking her mom for forcing her to get fashionable clothes for the camping rather than her matching clothes with her brothers.
Later that night Wali and Ayaan got one room and Meher and Wali's fiancé Tamanna (Tammy)  got one room in the same cottage, ofcourse as they are still not married so they had to sleep separate.
But before sleeping they sat down and had some coffee then talked about next days plans not only that Wali invited Ayaan for his wedding also asked him to bring his parents if possible. He was really touched with Wali's gesture in fact the whole family because they really didn't need to entertain him so much just because their mother is a fan, this family was genuinely nice.
Next day morning they all got ready for Skiing and it was very cold Ayaan was all ready to try out skiing he even got little lessons in the camp early morning.
A:: hey Meher, if I fall are you really going to laugh?
M:: depends on how you fall, I mean if it looks funny then I will (and she starts laughing and he just loved the way she laughed so carefree)
Meher helped Ayaan to get the basics and he is a fast learner so for the first day he did pretty good. But he did fall once and as Meher said she will laugh nothing like that happened instead she got so worried for him helping him to get back to the top.
A:: what happened you didn't laugh?
M:: it wasn't funny that's why
He looked at her and she tried looking on the other side, she just felt weird she just couldn't understand why was she acting different? If it was anyone else she would definitely laugh coz the way he fell was funny but why was she worried about him getting hurt?
They also rode a zipline which was very high and dangerous but Ayaan loved adventure and Meher seemed to do all the crazy things that he always wanted to do.  Ayaan had a blast camping with the family, they were not only nice but also crazy and fun loving. He almost forgot that he just met them 8 days back but ofcourse Arshi talked highly about them, she really liked the family because they are very simple down to earth people, even though they have all the reason to show off as they are pretty well off but they are like this with everyone not only Arshi but other desi families too and they don't only restrict themselves to Indians they are friends with Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Srilankan all kinds of families.
Ayaan took many pics he even posted some pics, ofcourse his fans were zooming into everything, they loved his pics with his family then he posted pics with the kids and it was a super hit post. Meher had become his photographer who took many pictures for him coz he wanted to capture everything. But one picture he took just for fun just like the pic where the man is holding the girl's hand and they are traveling and it's only the hand and the back of the girl. Meher didn't mind doing that they thought it was fun posing like that.
Ayaan posted that pic and also followed Meher on Instagram. Then they all went to sleep but middle of the night Meher woke up because her phone was beeping nonstop. Ofcourse she had no clue Ayaan followed her at night and her phone was not on silence. She thanked God for keeping her profile private, Ayaan's fans were sending her follow requests on top of that people were tagging her in that picture. Things just went overboard all the news media and everyone jumped on a conclusion that Ayaan Khan found someone as his caption for the pic was:: thank you for holding my hand without questioning
Ayaan seriously didn't mean it in any other way he really wanted to say thank you for letting him take the pic and letting him post it, but the whole world thought that he is dating this girl named Meher.
Seeing the news she didn't know how to react whether to get angry or upset but then she told herself that it really doesn't matter people can say whatever it shouldn't bother her. He might be some celebrity but here with them he is just a normal person just a friend who is trying to enjoy and have some good time, she didn't want to make him feel awkward instead she felt he should just go with the flow and not clear out doubts, coz in her mind she knows nothing like this will happen and soon he will be gone. She silenced her phone and went back to sleep, when he woke up and saw what happened in the other side of the world he was really sorry and apologized to Meher and she just told him not to worry coz they know nothing like this is happening and even their family knows, who cares what people are thinking and also she lives far from that world so it really doesn't matter and he really doesn't have to delete the pic coz it's a beautiful picture and she knows what his caption meant. Ayaan who has been always private about his relationship suddenly didn't mind a pic like this and for a change he didn't mind listening to Meher, even he wondered suddenly what happened to him since when he became so carefree?
Soon the four days passed and the camp ended and they came home, after that everyone got busy Ayaan was going around the city he also went to Vegas for 3 days and Niagara Falls for two days and then it was almost time to go back to India. Laili Bano made sure to invite Ayaan and the family for dinner before he went back and they happily accepted the invite and enjoyed the dinner.
M:: so how did you like our America? Hope it treated you well?
A:: it was wonderful, one of my best trips ever and ofcourse thanks to you, I mean you and your family I enjoyed so much and had such a beautiful experience that I'll never forget. Now I just have two more days and then back to same old life. But I will make sure I keep some days off when you guys come to India would love to see you all.
M:: oh yea please come for the wedding we will have lots of fun.
A:: Meher are you busy tomorrow?
M:: not really and tomorrow is Saturday so it's my weekend. Why?
A:: I was just wondering if you could help me do some shopping, I'm very bad at picking clothes and it seems you are pretty stylish so may be you can help me out.
M:: you are funny, someone who is known to be as the fashion icon wants me to help him?
A:: even you know fans just like their favorite do anything. Sometimes even I don't like certain clothes but fans love everything. So what do you think? Or tell me how do I bribe you? I can take you for dinner after shopping anywhere you like.
M:: that's a unique way of asking me to come for dinner. Putting the blame on me that I took the bribe.
A:: hahahahah you can say anything but I would love for you to come with me for dinner coz I really enjoyed the time here and that's just a way of saying thank you.
M:: so shopping canceled if I come for dinner?
A:: no no I need the shopping too
M:: ok fine I'll pick you up around 4pm
Next day Meher went shopping with Ayaan and he was impressed with her sense of fashion and the best part was even the things he didn't like much but after trying he loved them, he was surprised how she knew what would suit him.
Then they went to a good high end restaurant in a posh location, they enjoyed the dinner loved the drive listened to music, but not even once any of them felt that they need to get intimate or they should feel different about each other rather they were more like long lost friends. Ayaan even opened up about his story with Simi he told her how serious he was about the relationship but he has no clue why things didn't work when they became so distant, he mentioned that he was really looking forward to a future with Simi but his family wasn't happy and even Simi couldn't take the family pressure. When he came to America he was very depressed but now he feels much better and looking forward to start fresh and move on and concentrate on his work.
Meher is a good listener and she listened to what he had to say without judging him and she tried to understand him and she was enjoying his company she liked the fact that he opened up to her about his private life.
Later that night Meher was dropping him in front of his sister's house and his nephew Ali saw them from the window.
Ali:: mommy Mamu is back but he is still talking to Meher aunty
Arshi:: Ali don't look from the window if they see you it will look bad
Ali:: mommy is Meher aunty going to marry Mamu?
Arshi:: what? Who said that?
Ali:: no one said that. I really like her, it will be so nice to have Meher aunty and mamu together all the time then we will have double fun.
Arshi:: you talk too much don't say such things in front of anyone. Go get ready to sleep.
Arshi's husband after hearing the conversation told Arshi 'not a bad idea Arshi, Meher is a wonderful girl, she has all the qualities to be Ayaan's wife and also not from the industry so your parents will be happy too'
Arshi really felt her husband and son was right but ofcourse she will have to find out what they think of each other
Outside as Meher was dropping Ayaan she came out of the car to say bye to him
A:: Meher why don't you come in Arshi Di will be happy to see you
M:: actually it's getting late I will come back later
A:: okay I won't force you. But I just have to thank you for everything you did, it was wonderful and also thank you for understanding the Instagram situation
M:: hey no worries it's all good and no need to thank me even I enjoyed your company as well as my family. It was a pleasure having you.
Okay then you take care and have a safe flight.
A:: thanks!! And you take care of yourself, hopefully I'll see you soon in india and yes don't drive so fast.
(She laughed)
M:: okay good night bye.
A:: hey Meher! I just wanted to say something.......
