Chapter 19

Meher goes to see Rubina along with Arshi and everyone else and Rubina was so happy that she looked as if she was never sick. Meher hugged Rubina and said now I'm here so you better get well soon and come home because who will take care of me?
Rubina:: Ayaan are not taking care of my daughter in law
M:: don't worry Ammi he always takes good care of me. I just want you to get better so we can spend some time together
Arshi:: yea even I'm here Ammi so you don't worry just get better.
Rubina:: I know beta you are here and you will handle everyone but make sure you take care of your sister in law because she is expecting and I don't want my Meher to have any problem.
That day Arshi planned to stay with her mom at night.
Ayaan had to go to work so he left and Meher and Arshi came back home leaving their dad and Amina Bi in the hospital. When Ayaan came back from work Meher and Arshi went to the hospital to see her again and everyone else came back and except Arshi.
At night Amina Bi made sure Meher had everything in the room that she needed.
Ayaan was sitting on the bed checking his phone and Meher sat in front of the mirror applying some bio oil on her tummy she was admiring her small bump with a big smile and Ayaan noticed her. He was thinking about the way she told his mom that he takes care of her and thought to himself that he will take care of Meher so his mom can't complain and also he doesn't want to risk anything he doesn't want her to tell his mom anything.
A:: Meher?
M:: hmm
A:: Can I touch your belly?
She looked at him through the mirror and in heart she wanted him to touch her feel her, she wished that he would be as excited as she is but then the thought came that he didn't care about this baby all he cared about was himself, he did such a big mistake and he instead of being sorry he feels this is normal and he is not answerable to her. Even for the sake of his child he didn't try to change himself. But then her heart was craving for him to touch her baby feel him just the way she loves caressing her belly. She got up and turned looking at him and before she could take step towards him his phone rang, he hurriedly answered the phone and went to the balcony. She just stood there for sometime cursing herself for even thinking that she should allow him. She was glad that the phone rang and she didn't fall into the trap of hope. This phone just gave her the reality check. She could hear Ayaan saying sorry to Simi for what happened in the morning and how he got busy with everything, he was pacifying her. Her heart bled hearing all that and she went to the bathroom and cried out loud. He came inside and heard her cry
A:: Meher what's wrong are you okay?
She didn't answer
A:: Meher why are you crying? Please stop crying Abbu will hear you or at least Amina Bi will definitely hear you.
She still didn't say anything
A:: please don't do this then everyone will think I did something to you.. please stop crying everyone will ask what happened and I don't want anyone to know anything
Meher didn't care about what he had to say because nowadays whenever he opens his mouth she only gets hurt. She didn't care what he had to say she cried as long as she wanted and then she came out.
A:: Meher what's wrong ? If you do all this then you will get sick then my parents will think I did something to you and I can't handle all this. Already I'm stressed about Ammi now I can't take anymore stress

Meher keeps wondering how low can he get? How shameless and heartless one can be?
M:: I don't think I asked you to stress about me.
A:: but if you keep doing all this then that will stress me out
M:: then how about you keep your cheap stunts out of the house atleast till I'm here so that I don't see your cheap shit in front of me and I don't get hurt. 
A:: what have I done to you now?
M:: right!! You haven't done anything.... I wish you did something for me but you can't come out of your I Me and Myself how can you do anything for your pregnant wife.
A:: listen Meher, okay if you want me to accept that I'm wrong than okay I accept I'm wrong you can scream at me yell at me and please let's finish it that way.
Meher wasn't going to give him peace so easily, he wants her to fight and make the situation light, he feels his guilt will become less if she fights with him. But she decided to stay mum. She wasn't going to give him the satisfaction so easily, she started walking towards the bed he stood in front of her and held her by her arms
A:: God dammit just say what you have to say
M:: leave my arm Ayaan
(He didn't leave)
M:: Ayaan don't touch me
She yanked his hands and walked away. Everytime Meher feel little soft about him, he does things that pushes her further than where she was. Next few days passed like this and Meher was getting worked up she wasn't feeling well because of all this stress. After five days Ayaan's mom was released from the hospital she was doing much better now but she has to take complete rest and no stress. Now Meher was happy atleast she knows everyone is home she is not left alone.
Since his mom came back home Meher has been spending most of her time with her and Arshi. In the morning at breakfast table they were all having breakfast and Meher was eating a weird combination food. She took eggs and jam on toast and she was biting on to green chilly. No one said anything but Ayaan had to open his mouth
A:: are you seriously eating egg and jam and green chilly?
M:: yea why what's wrong?
A:: that's a weird combination don't you think that?
M:: no it tastes very good.
Then she added a lot of sugar in her tea
A:: oh my God Meher what's wrong with you since when you take three spoons of sugar in your tea. Oh God I'm gonna throw up seeing you eat weird food. At least eat some healthy normal food, you are pregnant...
The moment he said that a tear rolled down her cheek and she just couldn't eat anymore. She said excuse me and left the table
A:: what's wrong? Can you stop getting upset for small little things?
