They both looked at each other..... it's true Meher still loves him and wishes to have him back but then she is a practical person she knows this relationship has to end because Ayaan has someone else in his heart and she can't keep fooling herself neither she can forgive Ayaan so easily.

A:: will I be allowed to see you if I come to America?
M:: why would you want to see me?
A:: you are the mother of my child
M:: my child
(He chuckled thinking she is still cute even when she is angry, but strong headed and knows what she wants.)
A:: okay I get it, mother of your child, but I'm still the sperm donor so atleast I can still come right?
M:: Ayaan, I can never change the fact that you are the father of my child and I don't even plan to hide anything this child will know the truth and when he grows up and if he still feels he wants to be in touch with you then it's his choice. He will have the right to choose because parents can get divorced but children never get divorced with their parents. Yes for now I will not be sharing the custody so that you don't come to my doorstep and try to claim the baby but yes you will be allowed to see him with my permission that's because you are the sperm donor.
A:: so you planned out everything?
M:: I had to because I don't want my son to go through my pain. I don't want him to love someone and then get hurt. I don't want him to expect anything from you, if you give your love and care he should accept it but he shouldn't expect it all the time.
A:: Meher he is my child too why wouldn't I love him?
M:: Ayaan, don't ask me questions that will hurt you when I answer, because it's not in my nature to hurt people even those who hurt me.
A:: but I want to know
M:: Ayaan I don't know what love means to you but definitely our definition of love is quite different. What you have done to me after that I cannot trust you and I don't trust you. The Ayaan I married was a different person but now the Ayaan who is sitting in front of me is a selfish person I don't even know him because he is someone else's Ayaan.
A:: you really don't mince your words....
M:: no I don't coz I don't lie. My Yes means Yes and No means No.
A:: I know you have been clear about everything. I wish we could still be friends and I could learn your life hacks.
M:: no I don't wish that
A:: but why?
(She smiled)
M:: because I don't want to take away someone else's love
A:: meaning
M:: Ayaan when I said I loved you I meant it and I don't see you as my friend and (pause)
A:: and.... what that has to do with taking away someone else's love?
M:: no that's not
A:: what is it?
M:: (she smiled) may be some other time. Good night
Meher was very tired she fell asleep but Ayaan stayed awake for sometime, he just couldn't stop thinking of the ultrasound. He could hear the heartbeat just closing his eyes and now when Meher placed his hand on her belly and said she could feel the baby move he could imagine how the baby must be moving around. This was the first time in last few months he actually thought about this child and not about himself, for the first time he wasn't thinking how to prove his to Simi, infact he was making a picture of the baby in his mind. He went to sleep with a smile.
Next day morning he woke up and saw Meher sleeping, he went for a shower and when he came out he saw Meher struggling to get out of bed and her cheeks are all wet as she had tears rolling down, Ayaan came running as she was so wobbly and caught her by her arm.
A:: what's wrong Meher, are you okay? Why are you crying?
M:: no, I was trying to call Amina Bi she didn't pick up her phone, I was calling you also but you didn't hear me.
A:: why were you calling us, you need anything?
M:: I woke up because I'm hungry and I tried getting up and I started feeling dizzy
A:: then why are you standing? Come sit down
M:: because no one was responding and I'm so hungry that everything is so blurry I feel I'm going to pass out. I just wanted to get some food.
A:: then why are you crying?
M:: because I'm hungry and I couldn't reach anyone
(She starts crying) no one heard my voice, no one came
A:: okay okay don't cry please, I heard you now I'll go get you food right away. Just don't get up please
Ayaan runs to the kitchen
A:: Amina Bi where is your cell phone?
Amina:: why Ayaan Baba? I think it's in the room
A:: why can't you keep your phone with you? Meher was calling you
Rubina:: Ayaan what happened why are you yelling at Amina early morning?
A:: Ammi I'm asking her about her phone Meher was calling her and I was taking shower.
Rubina:: why what happened?
A:: She is not feeling well she is feeling dizzy because she is hungry. I came out of the bathroom and she was crying coz no one was responding and then she was trying to walk she was about to fall thank God I was there. Amina Bi you know she is pregnant and also not well keep the phone with you please, and now give me some food fast, give me anything in a plate let her start eating and rest of the breakfast you can bring it.
Amina:: oh no sorry sorry Ayaan baba let me give you Aloo ka parantha egg bhurji and orange juice.
She gives the plate to him and tells him she will bring tea and more food in few minutes even before she finishes this plate. Ayaan runs back to the room. Rubina sees the sudden change in Ayaan in last two days and feels there might be some hope. She knows she is being selfish for her son because Meher is the perfect girl for her but also she knows Meher loves Ayaan, it's only fair that she gets Ayaan in her life because Meher should get what her heart desires also she has right on him and nobody should take her right.
Ayaan comes back to the room and hands the plate to Meher but her sugar level was so low that her hands were shaking she couldn't even hold the plate.
A:: are you okay? What's happening Meher?
(She was mumbling)
M:: I'm hungry my sugar level is low
Ayaan realized she can't even eat on her own so he started feeding her and she just gobbled everything in a minute and looked at him as the plate was empty. She made such a puppy face that Ayaan felt so bad that he didn't have anymore food to give he gave her such a sad and guilty face that he only got this much, but to his rescue Amina Bi and Rubina came with tea for both of and some halwa poori. Meher's face lit up seeing the food but she was still feeling week and Ayaan started feeding her before she made that puppy face again and she happily ate everything.
Rubina:: Meher how you feeling now?
M::(smiling) Ammi I'm so full that I can sleep till afternoon now. Is it okay if I sleep for some more time?
Rubina:: Ofcourse beta, doctor told you to rest and if your sugar level drops like this then always keep some chocolate or anything sweet and have it right away. Ayaan come and have breakfast let her rest.
A:: let me change I'm coming.
Rubina leaves and Ayaan was happy to see his mom talking to him nicely. Meher was dozing off by now
A:: get some rest I'll get ready for work.
Ayaan just changes his clothes and come out, he sees her already sleeping, he was just getting his things ready to leave and suddenly he heard loud snoring he was shocked. He ran out and saw his family waiting for him to have breakfast
A:: Ammi why is Meher snoring so loud is she okay? She never snores like this, should we take her to the doctor?
They just laughed and told him generally pregnant women snores because their tummy just makes it difficult to breathe and then Meher is not well they snore more when body is weak.
A:: wow!! That's a lot they go through during pregnancy. We men are lucky, I can't think of walking around with such a big belly. That must be heavy.
Rubina and Arshi was glad to see Ayaan actually talking about pregnancy and Meher.
Next day was Sunday and ofcourse Simi was calling Ayaan asking him to meet her. Ayaan did want to see her too but then he was feeling that her family is just getting normal and how can he just go out alone on a weekend but then again he didn't want Simi to do something stupid. He didn't want to make anyone upset now because he can't take so much stress now. Meher noticed that Ayaan was getting calls after calls and he was trying hard to avoid.
M:: everything okay?
A:: yea....
M:: Ayaan we both know once I have my baby we won't be together anymore. But we are still here because of Ammi but if you keep checking your phone or if your phone keeps ringing nonstop they will definitely notice.
A:: Meher I don't know what to do. I really don't want to risk Ammu's health and It's just getting hard to balance everything.
M:: anything that's not natural gets difficult to balance. (He looked at her for her bluntness) I know what I say might sound brutal. But why can't you make your mistress understand to stop acting like a maniac and stop bullying you. Why can't she trust you? Doesn't she realize you are gambling your family your child everything for her? If I was in her place I would do anything to adjust with my boyfriend's situation so that I can fit in and I can be accepted. She is acting like some psychopath now
A:: you are really going to call her mistress all the time?
M:: Ayaan when a wife's husband goes to sleep with another woman they are called mistress
A:: you realize I know her long before I know you
M:: she was not in your life when you married me but she came in our life after you married me. Ayaan I'm still your wife.
A:: anyway I guess you can say anything I can't stop you. But I don't know how to control her anger you know she is very pampered
M:: more than me?
A:: no....
M:: then are you sure it's anger and not a preplanned action just to make you suffer just because you are not giving in?
A:: Meher you don't know her she loves me
M:: I don't even want to know her, I mean someone who just came between me and my husband what else do I need to know about her?
A:: you can blame me for that
M:: when did I say I don't blame you ? But as a woman I could never be happy ruining anyone's happiness for my obsession. May be you like such dominance and obsessiveness and I can't be anything like that
Ayaan didn't want to argue anymore he felt it's better he ignores what she says, Meher just feels it's better to let him free atleast that keeps the environment in the house peaceful as she already accepted the fact that she won't be with Ayaan after the baby so she doesn't want more stress because she wants to get better and go back to America.
M:: Ayaan why don't you go out for an hour
A:: how? The first thing Ammi will ask where are you going without Meher?
M:: then drop me in my Nani's place and pick me up in an hour and ofcourse if you come back early everyone will think you were with me
Ayaan was shocked that she was making ways for him to meet Simi. He couldn't believe that being his wife she could always fight with him stop him but instead to keep everything peaceful she is finding ways to help him.
Ayaan's phone rang and instead of answering the phone in front of Meher he went to the balcony and answered.
Simi:: are you coming or not?
A:: Simi today it's getting difficult
Simi:: I don't care about all that, why did you come to me when you are a mummy's boy? I cannot deal with your family drama everyday. I just can't wait for them to leave.
