Unfaithful

Chapter 15

In the morning looking at Meher sleeping innocently Ayaan felt very guilty. He felt it was not her fault that she got married to him, it was not her fault Simi left him or he married her because he wanted to move on and make his family happy at the same time. Not only that Meher asked him if she should worry about his past and he said no, she loves him trusts him, cares for him and his family. She left everything because she believed everything he said, she said yes coz he gave her the hope that they will have a good future. Not only that just few days back he said he loves her and it's not that he doesn't feel the love for her, he definitely loves her. He kept telling himself Simi left him, she chose to do that she chose not to trust him or wait for him even though she knew him for so long but Meher trusted him even when she hardly knew him. His heart was surrounded with guilt and regret and then he was also sorry for himself. Suddenly he felt his chest feeling heavy he ran to the bathroom because he wanted to cry out loud. Meher woke up and heard some sound, she heard him cry in the bathroom, she forgot about last night and started worrying for him. She was feeling bad that she didn't even talk to him or ask him why he was upset, again she felt she was not being a good wife that she didn't understand her husband's problem instead she was blaming him for being rude.
When he came out he didn't find her in the room before he could go look for her she came in with some tea.
M:: Good morning Ayaan
(Ayaan was surprised to see her so normal)
A:: good morning
Meher never liked going round the bush so she directly asked
M:: everything okay Ayaan? You can talk to me, if it's some professional pressure I can understand that coz I've been a working woman for quite some time now. We need to communicate or else we will be sleeping like last night every night.

When Meher said all this it just made Ayaan feel worse, he just felt the stab right in his heart. He felt like the biggest cheater. He was surprised to see instead of being angry for his behavior she was actually worried about him, how can he not love this woman who trusts him who loves him unconditionally. Ayaan just couldn't take it anymore and he hugged her tight and she actually couldn't understand what's happening here.
A:: I'm sorry Jaan I'm so sorry for my behavior last night, I just had an issue yesterday and I was mad and you called that time and I took it out on you and when I came I was feeling so guilty that I couldn't even say sorry. Please forgive me Meher I'm sorry, I really apologize for my behavior.
M:: Ayaan are you okay? Baby if you are having some professional issues then I can understand you can be stressed, but I do forgive you but next time you fight with me and if you are wrong and you go to sleep without saying sorry then I won't forgive you
A:: no I'll make sure I say sorry and then go to sleep
M:: oh that means you will fight with me and be mean to me?
A:: nooo!! I don't mean that.
She starts laughing and Ayaan looks at her with admiration and regrets what he did yesterday. But yes he wished that Simi never left and his parents really liked Simi just the way they like Meher. Wish Simi didn't say that she wasn't ready for family life yet. In one side he was regretting for cheating on his wife on the other side he was feeling sorry for him. He wished things were different then he wouldn't be hurting Meher may be she wouldn't be even in the picture to get hurt. He felt he needs to distract himself and spend more time with Meher because he needs to forget Simi and it seemed to be difficult if he was spending more time with Simi and not with Meher after all he married her and she has rights on him.
A:: you know what I have some work today and next one week I am off so we need to do something. Coz soon I'll get busy with promotions and shootings.
M:: what do you mean? I mean what's the plan?
A:: how about we switch off everything no social media no work and we go to Goa. No one will know where we are and it will be just you and me.
M:: oh my God!! Your serious? We can do that?
A:: ofcourse we can why not.....
Soon they had breakfast and he got ready to go to work, he told her to pack up clothes for tomorrow.
M:: what kinda clothes you want me to pack
A:: We will be spending a lot of our time in the beach  so swim wear is a must. And it's still pretty warm in Goa so mostly shorts and T-shirts something like that...
Meher was excited about beaches coz she is a water baby she loves swimming and on top of that she will get to do it with Ayaan.
As Ayaan sat in the car Simi texted her about the music video before he could say anything the producer called him and showed a lot of excitement. Ayaan just told himself he needs to be professional and not bring personal life in it and agreed to meet him around 5pm.  Ayaan met the creative team and signed the Music video. When he came home he saw how excited Meher was and even Amina Bi was excited about it. He always felt weird how his whole family gets excited when Meher is happy, he just thought that his family will be heart broken if he hurts her. Keeping all the thoughts aside he said he needs to work on his marriage because Meher loves her and he also loves Meher she is his wife who agreed to walk this journey with him without any conditions.
Next day they leave for Goa, they had lot of fun, they spent most of the time in the beach or the pool and also a lot of love making. They didn't bother checking twitter or Insta they were just doing their own thing and they came back after four days.
Meher was happy that they could spend some time because soon Ayaan was going to get very busy. He had to go for promotions for his web series, also he had few commercials, photo shoots for his daily serial that he is supposed to start shooting sometime in November. He has to go to Kolkata and Lucknow for promotions of his web series which was releasing on 1st of December.
2nd week of October and Ayaan starts getting busy with work and ofcourse they were going to different shows of that channel for promotions and he was meeting Simi almost in daily basis, the problem is he never talked about his wife and Simi made an assumption about his wife and never thought of asking him about Meher. Ayaan not talking about his wife gave Simi the idea that he has no feelings for his wife and he is not happy so Simi was doing everything to make him happy where as he was thinking Simi still loves him so he didn't want to talk about Meher. Ayaan has been coming home late and he was tired most of the time. Meher found it weird that suddenly Ayaan was behaving little strange, he couldn't keep his hands off of her just some time back and suddenly he is forcing himself to get intimate with her. Then she thought may be he is too busy may be it's the work load as he is doing multiple projects he is acting like that, soon this will be over and he will only be doing the daily serial so it will be different. First week of November and Ayaan has to go to Kolkata with Simi and the team for three days. He never asked Meher if she would like to come may be he never had the intentions to take her with him. He got so busy that Meher even told him that now she kinda got used to this place and he is busy too so she would like to start working too and right away Ayaan happily said she should and not sacrifice her career because he doesn't have any problem with a working wife. Now she felt it's time she gets busy too because from now on this will be her life as she is married to Ayaan and it's already few months so she needs to come out of the honeymoon mode and start normal life.
8th November early morning Ayaan leaves for Kolkata, he called Meher after reaching and called Meher and somehow last few days he wasn't saying I love you to her neither he wasn't responding to her I love you.
Meher kept on seeing loads of pictures from the promotions most of the time he was holding Simi's hand or arm or waist, then she told herself may be they were just being the characters from the show but their closeness did bother her a bit. Those three days were very long for Meher and she was super excited to have Ayaan back and the first thing he said was he is so tired he is going to take a hot shower and if she can make a cup of tea for him. He took off his T-shirt and she noticed scratches on his back.
M:: Ayaan what happened on your back?
A:: oh don't ask Kolkata was full of mosquitoes and yesterday it was so bad it bit me on my back and I scratched it so badly there.
M:: really it's that bad? Did you wipe it with any alcohol or any wipe.
(Ayaan changing the topic quickly and suddenly turning he said with a big smile)
A:: who would wipe my back over their (wrapping his arms around her) my beautiful wifey wasn't there to take care of me
