Vocal Coach ~ Baekhyun & Sungchan(NCT)

Chapter 14

*Time Skip | After School*
"I had fun today." Sungchan said.
"That's good. Oh, look. Baekhyun's calling me. Looks like it's time for my vocal lesson." I said.
"Go ahead." Sungchan said.
I drive us to my house and I go down to my room and attend my vocal lesson with Baekhyun. We do our usual vocal warm ups, and today, we're working on a new song: Red Flavor by Red Velvet. Ah! This song is so fun. I love this song so much. It's a bop and a half. I Google the lyrics and we run through the lyrics, slowly at first. I learn every phrase, then once I've learned the lyrics, I can start singing it with good pronunciation.

Baekhyun plays the instrumental of Red Flavor and I begin singing on tempo. Baekhyun is nodding along, smiling as I'm singing. He's liking my tone and I'm able to get to those high notes unlike the before when I wasn't able to get up there. When we finished our lesson for the day, Baekhyun puts up a finger heart, indicating that I had done a great job. I give one back to Baekhyun. Aww, he's actually so cute. For a grown man, he's so cute haha. I get off the call with Baekhyun, then start working on my homework for school.

As I'm sitting at my desk, Sungchan is sitting on the bed near my desk, just watching me work.
"Whatcha doing?" Sungchan asked, now bored.
"Homework." I said.
"For what class?" Sungchan asked.
"History." I said.
"Ah, I liked that class." Sungchan said.
"Cool." I said.
"Okay, sorry for bothering you." Sungchan said, "I'll go pack now."
"I don't want you to leave, but you have an important job to attend to back in Seoul." I said.
"Mhm, sorry. Taeyong sunbaenim would be angry if I stayed longer." Sungchan said.
"Go ahead, pack up." I said.
"Finish your homework, then take me to the airport tomorrow, please." Sungchan said.
"Yeah, I will." I said.
"Trust me, I don't wanna leave either, but I can't stay much longer." Sungchan said.

I finished my homework after about two hours of hard grinding at my Chromebook. I am a little tired, but all I want to do is spend my last hours with Sungchan before he leaves for Korea. We sit in my room, just chatting like we usually do. Then, I get a text from Taeyong.
TYONG: Tell Sungchan I'm sorry for getting mad at him🥺
Me: I'm sure he'll forgive you, don't worry😉
TYONG: I just couldn't understand because I was never allowed to have a relationship while promoting😔
Me: It's okay, TaeTae
TYONG: okay~
Me: I'll tell Sungchan since he's sitting next to me
TYONG: Kk
"Hey, Taeyong says sorry for being mad at you." I said.
"Here, I'll text him on my phone." Sungchan said.
"Okay." I said, with a smile.

Sungchan quickly texts Taeyong, forgiving him for not understanding why Sungchan had ran away to America to be with me one more week. I made sure Sungchan had a good experience in America, coming with me to school, and all that. I think he enjoyed tagging along with me to school and experiencing American school for the first time. Now, he's all packed and ready to go for tomorrow morning. I'm totally not ready for him to go, but it's what he has to do. I've never loved someone the way I love Sungchan. All the other times, I just had crushes, but my crushes never liked me back. . . Until Sungchan. He was the only one who really liked me back and even made the first move. It's going to be a different experience, dating an idol, especially one from NCT, but it'll be good too.

That next morning, bright and early, at around 5am, Sungchan had to shake me awake so I could take him to the airport. The closest airport that will fly Sungchan to LA is the one in Salt Lake City, which is a three hour drive away. We will be arriving in Salt Lake around 8am, so that Sungchan can arrive in LA at 10am, then arrive back in Seoul the same day at 10am(due to time zones). When we arrive at the airport, it is painful to watch Sungchan walk away with his suitcases and waving goodbye.

At this time, we are 2 weeks into our relationship, which I believe we are actually taking seriously. I have never actually dated anyone else before, so this should be an experience I'll never forget. As I watched Sungchan walk into the airport, I think it's about time I go back home. If I linger too long in the terminal drop off, the people behind me will start honking at me. I put my car and drive and begin driving away from the airport and allowing Sungchan to be on his his. All these goodbyes are going to start getting more and more painful, the more we have to do it. Sungchan and I are going to become long distance, and I trust him to be loyal to me, but I know he'll be super busy once he gets back. Sungchan promised me that he will try his best to make time for our relationship, but it might be hard with his schedule. I understand if he doesn't contact me for weeks, but once it gets to months, that's when I start to worry. I have no idea how much time I should give him. . .
