When my party was over, only a few people stuck around, namely my close family members and Sungchan. Most of the other members of NCT had gone to their hotel room for the night to rest up. I have changed out of my dress into something more comfortable. In the meanwhile, I saw Sungchan chatting with my dad about something. I don't know what they're talking about or if Sungchan is planning something. From what I can see, my dad is giving him permission to do whatever he's about to do.
With a big smile on his face, Sungchan walks over to me and holds both my hands. "You. Shelly, you have been in my life for 7 months. I am so happy with the time we spent together, even if we were apart. I don't want us to be long distance anymore. It tears me apart. I would like to ask you. . ." Sungchan pauses to get one knee, "Will you please marry me?" Sungchan is presenting me this beautiful diamond ring:

"Sungchan I- I don't know what to say. . . Yes!" I exclaimed, still in shock. "You are mine forever." Sungchan said, sliding the ring on me. Then, he stands up and we share a cute kiss. "Who do I tell first? I mean, my family already knows since they watched it happen." I said. "Tell Taeyong. Tell Baekhyun, tell everyone." Sungchan said. "I will definitely do that." I said.
My first instinct was to call Baekhyun, the one who enabled me to meet Sungchan in the first place. I had thanked him a billion times for flying me out to Seoul, and now, I'm engaged to Sungchan. When we had our vocal lesson that next day, Baekhyun was all giddy and happy for me. He kept staring at the ring, being unable to believe that Sungchan spent over $5,000 on this one engagement ring. Baekhyun can't wait to attend the wedding, in which he is 100% invited to. I couldn't think of a better guy to invite to my wedding.
Sungchan and I had to keep waiting and planning our wedding while he was incredibly busy with NCT. It took a lot for me to be home in America while Sungchan was back in Korea. I couldn't come to Korea until I finished my senior year, which is not for another 7 months. By that time, Sungchan and I will have been together for 14 months, or 1 year and 2 months. I will be so happy to finally fly over to Seoul to be with Sungchan for the rest of my life coming this summer. It took us a lot of planning, and I have to work on my dual citizenship for Korea as well. It's really stressful, but I have the support of my family, EXO, and NCT. They just want me to be happy with Sungchan.
The next 7 months had to be some of the most stressful months of my life. Not only did Sungchan and I celebrate our first anniversary as a couple via Zoom, I also prepared for graduation. I thought high school would never end, but here we are. My freshman and sophomore years were some of the worst, as I experienced some mental health issues, but then I rediscovered K-pop, and I don't regret getting back into it. Then, junior year rolled around, we were still in the middle of what would become the biggest pandemic of human history. The good thing is that we all survived, and that's what matters.
Today is my high school graduation. It is hard to believe we even made it here. As I mentioned, the world kinda went downhill in late 2019 all through 2020. We were still fighting it in 2021, but here we are now; in June 2022. The world has gone back to a bit more of normalcy. I am preparing to walk that graduation stage, to receive my 4-years hard work, my diploma. When my principal gets to the letter M, I wait for my last name to be called. I won't be called Miller for much longer, as I will be marrying Sungchan, then my name will change to Jung. Anyways, I go up on the stage and take my diploma from my principal and shake hands with him.
As I was going through, shaking hands with my vice principal and other notable teachers who helped me through, my NCT biases come popping out from behind the stage. My NCT biases are: Mark, Lucas, Jaemin, Renjun, Shotaro, and Sungchan. The Korean members say to me, "축하합니다!" Then, the Chinese members follow with, "祝贺你！" Finally, Shotaro says to me, "おめでとうございます。" All three of these phrases mean the same thing: Congratulations! They actually scared me because I wasn't expecting them to come out of nowhere. They give me one big hug, while I am still up on stage. Some of my friends scream because they're also fans of NCT. They weren't expecting this either.
Then, the last surprise was Baekhyun. He comes walking out from behind the stage, wearing his Korean military uniform, his hair has grown out from when he first shaved it for the military. His natural hair is back, that lovely chocolate brown. "No! Baekhyun, you're back?" I asked. "Yes." Baekhyun said, smiling, "Oh, I'm on vacation. I don't get discharged until September 13th." "Oh~ that makes more sense. I was doing the math in my head, and the dates weren't adding up to 20 months." I said. "That's right." Baekhyun said. "You enlisted the day after your birthday right?" I asked. "Yep." Baekhyun said. "Yeah, so about 20 months later would be September 13th of this year." I said. "Enough talk of this, let's get to partying." Baekhyun said. "Oh, there's a graduation after party?" I asked. "We're hosting." Mark said. "Oh? Let's go then." I said.
Part of NCT 127 are not here because a few of them had to enlist, sadly, but the members, namely my biases, who are either too young yet, or are foreign members, technically don't have to enlist. We have my graduation party at my house in the backyard. We have a lot of fun, eating food, playing soccer, and shooting some hoops. I found out that Mark loves basketball and will often play with Jaehyun whenever they have free time. I played a bit of basketball with Mark, and he totally roasted me in a one-on-one game. We had lots of fun playing together, though.
