Sam's POV- "So... What do you want to do today after school?" I heard Sarah ask after biting into an apple. "I don't know. If today is the last nice day of the week, we should go to the bridge. But we need to go there in an unusual way." I answered knowing exactly how we were going to get there, just waiting for her to guess.
"Sam, you know what happened last time we pushed each other in the cart down the road. Plus, that broken arm left a scar. And there's no way my mom will let me do that again," Sarah answered. She's always the worrier. "You won't be the one riding. Last time, since you fell and broke your arm, I didn't get to try. So it's my turn." I said.
"Oh, I'm so sorry for you and your rough pushing that made the cart fall over." She mumbled. We joke like this all the time. "Hey, can I stay over tonight? Mom and Dad fought last night and I walked in the room right when Mom was about to throw a hair dryer." I asked Sarah.
Her family is so considerate to let me stay at their home whenever I need too. Sometimes, if Jase, Eric's best friend, is out of town, they let him stay the night with them, too. They rock.
"Yeah, sure. We can stop by your house after school, get the cart, go inside, get a bag, and head down the road." Sarah said. We heard the bell ring and went our seperate ways.

Seventh period wouldn't end. My history teacher blabbed on and on about; what was it, I don't even know! Finally the bell rang and Sarah met me at my locker. I pulled my iPod out of my bag along with my new earbuds. I gave her the left side, put the right side in my ear, and picked my favorite playlist.
We walked to my house, listening to Tim McGraw sing 'My Little Girl' from the movie Flica, one of my favorites from my childhood.
