I woke up to darkness. I sat up and heard Eric's voice. "But dad, we HAVE to go to the same school. We're counting on each other." "Eric, the school I want you both to go in will only accept you. I'll do what I can." I heard dad say. "Wait, what? Eric and I are going to different schools?" I said. "Yes. I'm so sorry, baby girl." Dad said. Ugh. He knows when he says 'baby girl' I have to forgive him.
I decided to text Sarah, even though it was midnight.
Me: Hey girl!
Sarah: Hey! You seem happy...;)
Me: Well, that might be exaggerating a bit...:(
Sarah: What's up? :(
Me: Dad said Eric and I have to go to different schools...
Sarah: What? That's ridiculous!
Me: Ya think?!
Sarah: Ugh!
Me: Ok... ;) (to the note)
Sarah: YAY!!!
At that I set down my phone. I knew I should give her a while.

Sarah's POV
After I texted Sam back, I grabbed the crumpled note off my desk and went to my bing-bag chair. It read:
Sarah,
You have no clue how hard this is for me to tell you. Not that you saw this coming. Just know I will always remember you, my dearest friend.
You need to move on. You can't sit here thinking of me all the time. Just do me one favor; don't become a snot. Please. Don't hang with Kelsey and Kayla. BE YOU. Not someone anyone wants you to be. JUST YOU. :)
Your true friend,
Samantha EvansWhat? She wants me to move on? NO! I won't have any kind of friend like her. ITS NOT POSSIBLE. She can't do this to me! Is she planning to move on too? I CANT DO THIS!!! Ugh. I need rest.
Me: Are you sure?
Sam: Never been more positive. :)
Me: Ok... :( Just do me a favor?
Sam: You name it, I do it! :)
Me: Don't forget me.
