Sam's POV

Sarah: Don't forget me.

The words showed up on my phone screen. They rang in my head. Don't forget me. Don't forget me. Don't forget me.

Me: How could I?

Sarah: Samantha, seriously.

Me: Never.

I put down my phone. How could you forget the most important person in my life? I COULDN'T. See? A bump surprised me and I looked ahead. "How long until we get there?" I asked. "Two more days." Dad answered. Ugh.

Me: Mornin!

Sarah: I'm tired...

Me: Why?

Sarah: I didn't sleep last night...

Me: Why?

Sarah: ;)

Me: :/ What should I expect?

Sarah: ;)

Me: Uh oh...

Sarah: Gtg! :*

Me: Okay! :*

Eric then yelled something I couldn't make out. It was dizzy. Everything went black.

Sarah's POV

I was asleep when I woke up to my phone ringing. "Hello?" I said wearily. It was almost two o'clock in the morning! "Yes is this Sarah?" A voice asked. "Who is this? What is going on?" I said sitting up in bed. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm deputy A. Starr. Are you a good friend of the Evans family?" Deputy A. Starr asked. "Yeah, why? Are they in jail?! They didn't do anything wrong officer! Really! They're good people! They wouldn't-" I said. A. Starr cut me off. "No, they're not in jail. They were just in a fatal car accident. Looks like a semi was on the wrong side off the road and he-" I cut him off. "IS SAM OKAY?!?!?!" I screamed into the phone. "We don't know miss. Calm down." He said.

Calm down?! How could I calm down right now?! It's an intense moment! What if she's dead? NO!!! I can't think that way. "If you are willing, could you answer some questions?" He asked. "Ok." I said. "Where were they going?" "They were on they're way to Nebraska." "Where in Nebraska?" "Kearney." "Why?" "They moved." "Do you know why?" "No."

"How old is the boy?" "Eric? Eighteen." "And the girl?" "Samantha? Sixteen." "Alright. Thank you. They are being sent to the West Ridge hospital in Des Moines." "Okay. Thank you!" at that he hung up the phone. West Ridge? Des Moines? Oh my! I went right in my parents room, told them everything, got dressed, and went out to the car. We drove to the air port, got on the next plane, and left to make sure my sister is okay.
