I woke up when I felt the truck stop. "Here we are." Dad said. "What are we doing at a hotel?" I asked. "Well, it's not like I can buy a house with a snap of my finger." He replied. Oh yeah. I forgot. "I'll go check in while you guys get the bags. I just want my duffle bag."
Eric and I sorted through the bags, getting the ones that we thought we would need most. We loaded them on a cart and met dad inside. "Room 311." He told us. We went to the elevator and pushed button B. We stepped out of the elevator and walked down the hall. We found room 311 and I opened it with a key.
Two beds, one bathroom, a couch, and a chair. This wouldn't be so bad. I hoped. Dad's voice interrupted my thoughts. "We'll take turns on the couch. It folds out, too." We also had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a kitchen sink. "How long do we have to stay here?" I asked. "Until I find a home." Dad answered. Great. This will be a while.
We got settled in and Eric called Little Caesars for a large cheese pizza with breadsticks. I drooled at the thought. The first night Eric had the couch and Dad and I got beds. We ate silently and immediately went to bed.
I woke up in the middle of the night and texted Sarah.
Me: I want to come home.
Sarah: I want you home.
Me: Your not helping!
Sarah: I know. ;)
Me: This hotel isn't your house.
Sarah: :(
Me: I better sleep now...
Sarah: Me too... Night!
Me: Night!
I put my phone down hoping that I could sleep.

The next morning I got up around six. I didn't want to wake the boys up so I was as quiet as possible. School didn't start until Thursday. Thank goodness. I hopped in the shower and heard commotion in the hallway. I got out and still heard something going on.
I went out the door and saw a boy punching a girl in the face. "Hey! Let go of her!" I yelled, hoping that my dad or SOMEONE would hear. "Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" The guy asked turning towards me. I motioned to the girl to run in my room, in which the door was open. She found her way loose and ran in my room. I shut the door behind her.
"This." I said. I grabbed both of his arms, twisted them behind his back, punched him in the stomach, shoved him to the floor, and went back in my room. "Don't mess with the wrong person." I mumbled before entering my room. I found the guys asleep and the girl sitting on my empty bed. "Come here." I said to her, while motioning for her to go in the bathroom. I shut the door behind me.
"Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I'm so glad you came, he totally hates me." She said. "Yep! But next time, you could yell." I told her. "He told me if I yelled, he'd kill me in my sleep." She said. "Let's clean you up." I told her. I grabbed a wash cloth and dabbed her bleeding lip. "I'm Sam, by the way." I told her. "Violet." She said. "Cute outfit, by the way." Violet said. "Thanks..." I muttered.
Violet and I slipped out around eight. The boys were still sleeping! We went down to the breakfast place and got in line. I saw the guy almost get in line, but stopped when he saw me. I took a threatening step towards him and he jumped and backed away.
"Who is that guy anyway?" I asked. "His name's Collin. He has hated me for a while now." Violet answered. "Cool." I said. We sat down at the table beside Collin and he got up and left. "He is scared of you now. What'd you do to him?" she asked. "Nothing..." I said innocently.
"Hey, I got to go but see you around!" Violet said. "See ya!" I said. I hoped I did see her somewhere, sometime.
