Kam
I underestimated the effect this witch had on me... And it wasn't just her beauty. It was just... Everything. Everything about her, everything i could see, hear, touch, feel, taste. Her mind, her voice... Even her name. God, even her name.
She stood there, with these coffee black eyes that weren't so cold anymore, desperately seeking mine and I just didn't know what to do with her.
Anything, her eyes seemed to say, I'd do anything for you.
It was a lot... Too much for me. If I couldn't handle the old Asa, what... Oh God, what would I do with this new one that seemed determined to hand over her entire being to me.
Overwhelming.
"I hate full moons." I had stated plainly and I saw the panic in those expressive eyes of hers.
"I'm sorry. What..." She swallowed, twisted her trembling fingers around each other. "What do you want me to do for you?"
The question took me by surprise.
The truth was right there in her eyes. She made no effort to hide her pain, her guilt,... Her apology. She was finally finally laying herself bare before me. She had shed off her skin, her cold, icy exterior, and offered me a grand tour of her soul.
I never thought I'd see the day. I looked up at the sky and decided I loved Asa even more now. I loved Asa like misfortune loved the innocent, like disappointment loved the hopeful, like perversion loved everything that is holy and pure.
I looked at her and was about to tell her all this... When
She fell to her knees. Wrapped her hands around my waist and held on for her dear life.
... What?
"Mad oh!" Someone whistled from a distance, attracting the other students.
"Kam, answer the babe na!" Another person shouted.
Oh God. My ears burned in embarrassment. There were laughs and cheers and the awful sound of people not minding their business.
Asa held on tighter.
"Jeezus, what are you doing?" I tried to pry her hands off but she didn't budge. "Asa, everyone's looking!"
"I don't care!" She said stubbornly. "I'm sorry."
"Asa, no, seriously, it's okay."
"Tell me you forgive me!" She persisted.
I stopped. "Is that what this is about?"
She held on to me stubbornly and didn't say anything more.
This girl. I had to fight off the grin on my face, to appear serious.
