~13 years later~
Third POV
A purple haired queen smiled upon her strawberry field she had planted 13 years ago, sitting on the bench in front of it.
The strawberries always calmed the queen, and she knew why.
Her late husband, the one who changed her life and brought light into her world.
Strawberries is her favourite food, and he introduced her to the marvellous food.
"Mamma! Mamma!"
The queen smiled as she looked to her left to see her 13 year old daughter rush over to her. The 13 year old had brown wavy hair like her father with startling green eyes like her mother. She was wearing a simple yellow summer dress, giggling as she sat next to her mother.
"Now, what has gotten you excited?" the queen asked.
"The Isle Auradon day at school went well!" the young girl said.
"I was going to ask you about that Briana" the queen said, "What hap-"
"That's because she met a girl~" a young male voice stated from behind them.
"Ben!" Briana said, blushing as the younger boy came into vision. The boy had long brown hair with purple streaks in a bun with brown eyes. He was wearing a blue suit, similar to what his father wore to school everyday.
"Oh did she now?" the queen asked, amused by her twins arguing.
"Mamma! You were meant to be on my side!" Briana exclaimed as the queen laughed.
"I'm just stirring you up" the queen said "But a girl at a young age? Briana Evie, I thought I told you to wait until you're at least 16...well, at least your father would want that"
"Mamma!" Briana said, making her twin laugh "You shouldn't laugh! You were keeping an eye on the daughter of Carlos and Jane!"
"Bri!" the younger twin stated.
"Both of you falling for someone? My, my, Ben Finn Clay this is a shock for you" the queen said, making the boy look down embarrassed.
"I don't like expressing my feelings okay?!" Ben Finn exclaimed.
"And that is fine my love" the queen said "Your father and I didn't tell each other we loved each other for a little while, I never knew what love was"
"That's because you lived on the Isle before it was joined with Auradon" Briana stated and then paused "What was our father like?"
The queen paused.
"Your father, King Ben the first, was an amazing man" the queen said "He did so much for Auradon, the good and the bad"
"The bad?" Ben Finn asked "Was father a bad person"
The queen smiled and shook her head.
"No, no" the queen stated "He was unfortunately cursed since birth and it got to him the last year of his life, however he sacrificed himself so you guys can live"
"You have said that so many times" Briana stated, rolling her eyes "Would he even had liked us if he was willing to die so easily?"
The queen froze, almost in shock by her daughter's words.
"Briana!" Ben Finn exclaimed, "You've hurt mamma's feelings!"
Briana widen her eyes.
"Mamma, I'm so-"
"He would have loved both of you equally" the queen said slowly.
"R-Really?" Ben Finn stammered.
The queen nodded.
"Now, why don't we go in for dinner, Jay and Lonnie are joining us for dinner tonight" the queen said, making both the kid's eyes light up.
"Yes, Aunty Lonnie and Uncle Jay are coming over!" Briana yelled, and then smirked at her twin brother "I'll race you there!"
She ran off, Ben Finn running close behind her.
"Hey! No far!" Ben Finn yelled as they ran back to the castle.
The purple haired queen smiled faintly, chuckling to herself.
"You would have loved them Ben" the purple queen whispered "I miss you so much but I know what you done had saved everything we know today"
Teary eyed she looked up at the clouds.
"Love you Ben" she whispered before she looked back at the castle, standing up and before waking to the castle.
Ben's spirit watched on from the strawberry bushes, smiling at his beautiful Mal before vanishing, only a breath of wind indicating where he was.
