Chapter Eleven

~Later that night~

Ben's POV

'Oh come on, I know you're aching to do it'

My eyes snapped open, making me groaned, annoyed.

I am trying to sleep next to my wife but the stupid voice is keeping me awake.

'You promised me you would do it' the voice said 'Or this could go very bad very quickly'

"I don't want to" I muttered silently to myself, rolling over.

'Don't you want to know how to control it?' The voice said sincerely 'If you don't do use the powers you have it's like putting a lid on a boiling pot. You can try to control it as much as possible but it will overfull and even more dangerous. If you want to risk being more...dangerous and unable to contain it...than be my guest'

I groaned, knowing I have to do it, even if I don' agree with it.

"A training session, not a killing spree okay?" I muttered as I slowly got out of bed "How do I even get out of here without anyone knowing?"

'Go towards the balcony' the voice ordered.

As almost a pulling my body made me walk towards the glass doors, opening them, and leading me out

I closed the doors behind me slowly and carefully, not to wake up Mal.

The chill of the night made me shiver as I turned to look at the lights of Auradon.

"Now what?" I snapped quietly.

'Patience young one' the voice said.

I put my hands on the cold, marble balustrade. My eyes darting to try to find the guards rostered on.

'If what I think is correct you would possess my powers' the voice explained, making me widen my eyes 'This would be more advanced than what your daddy had. You would have enhanced abilities which could include increased speed, increased strength,increased eye sight, long leaping distances and easily blend in the shadows. However, since you have your father's blood in you some beats elements are in this power, such as summoning claw-like weapons and being able to turn into your beast'

"W-Wait what?" I asked, a little louder "I can do all of that?"

'This is only a theory however we can test it out right now' the voice said 'Get on top of the balustrade and jump to the roof over there'

I widened my eyes as I noticed it was the watch tower.

"Wait a second" I said as my body was forced on top of the balustrade, the wind getting stronger, almost pushing me off "This is based on a theory, why would you do-"

I fought the urge to yell as my body inched closer to the edge.

'I know it will work' the voice said 'You just need to trust me and yourself to doing this'

I sighed, shaking off the nerves.

"Okay, okay" I stammered "It's just a small drop and you have to trust the small voice in your head-"

'Just DO IT!' The voice snarled loudly.

Startled, I closed my eyes and heaped, not knowing where I would go.

I felt the wind in my hair, breaking my anxiousness for a second.
