Chapter Nineteen

Third POV

The Queen and the Fairy looked at the King in worry as he closed his eyes as the pain that was caused by the curse faded.

The Fairy quickly waved her hand to use the emergency messaging for experienced magic users. The mist was a pale pink, forming in swirls next to the fairy.

"Are you alright Ben?" Mal asked urgently.

Ben nodded as the pink mist swirled faster to reveal a female face appeared, confused by the call.

"Fairy Godmother, what is the meaning of this call?" the lady asked, all of the people in the room recognising her as the enchantress, the one who cursed Ben's father.

The enchantress was nothing like the old lady that cursed the former king. She has long, luscious blonde hair with fair flawless skin with stunning green eyes.

She did not look old, however the power seemed to overwhelmed Ben and draw Mal in.

Enchantress looked towards the young couple, recognising the two.

"Is that young King Ben and young Queen Mal?" she asked.

"Yes, there is something urgent for all of us to discuss" Fairy Godmother said.

The Enchantress seemed to look off screen to something.

"I have some time, but not a lot, so make it quick if you will" The Enchantress stated. 

"The curse you gave Adam" Fairy Godmother stated "Could there be a chance it can be transferred after it was cured?"

"It's not impossible" The Enchantress stated "Why do you ask?"

Fairy Godmother sighed.

"It seemed his song King Ben got a variation of the curse" Fairy Godmother explained "A couple of years ago I blocked it with you if you can recall-"

"Yes, I do remember" The Enchantress stated and then looked at Ben "Now, explain to me your situation"

Ben explained everything which had happened to him.

The Enchantress nodded and listened to his words, not showing any emotion.

When Ben had finished, the Enchantress hummed and tapped her finger on her face as she started to think.

"We did discuss the cure of this Fairy Godmother" The Enchantress stated at first "Which was not going to be good for the young ruler"

"So there isn't any other solutions my lady?" Mal asked, the Enchantress looked at the daughter of Maleficent and Hades with surprise.

"Please, call me Enchantress" The Enchantress said softly "I'm afraid there is not a lot of options"

"What is the option?" Ben asked, sounding weaker than normal.

"The option is simple in logic but going through with the option is complex and has a high chance of going wrong, even as experienced magic user, we cannot do it without dangers" The Enchantress explained "In simple terms, we would be forcing the curse out of young Ben, to take full control of him before we are able to control. But since it has grown to Ben his whole human life, it will be difficult to separate"

"Then why didn't you do it when Ben was a child?" Mal asked, worried.

"We didn't know how he would react as a child, his body had not fully developed yet" Fairy Godmother stated "At least now we know his body might have a fighting chance against the high risk"

"As we both have had said there is a high risk of Ben being hurt, or even dying" Fairy Godmother continued, starting at Ben "But if the curse is left, it can not only hurt the kingdom but Ben himself"

"In the end it is up to you young King" The Enchantress stated softly "It is a big decision but-"

"Nothing will change my mind when I say we need to do it" Ben said "The curse is getting harder and harder to control, and I am worried for the health and safety of my people"

"And yourself" Mal stated, holding her husband's hand "But you can't you risk hurting or killing yourself-"

"Mal, its the only way" Ben said "It's the only way"

Mal sighed and nodded, still worried.

"When can we do it?" Mal asked, looking at the two magic users.

The magic users looked at each other.

"The best time for both Ben's protection as well as bringing the curse out is on a blood moon" The Enchantress stated "Which happens to be tomorrow night"

The young couple looked at each other, Mal smiling faintly as Ben showed no emotion. 

"Okay" Ben said slowly "I will-"

Suddenly the former queen and king, Ben's parents, rushed into the room upon the scene with two guards next to them

The people in the room turned to the former rulers.

"I am in the middle of a important meeting Belle and Adam, please wait outsid-"

"Ben, talk to us, you never gave us an explanation-"

"Please, not now" Ben said nervously as Fairy Godmother and Belle talked before him "There are important matters I am discussing with Fairy Godmother and the Enchantress"

The former royals looked up and noticed the mist message, making Adam narrow his eyes.

"Why are you talking to-"

"Turns out your curse never moved on and went into me" Ben said sternly as he turned away from his parents "So we're trying to fix it before it gets worse"

"Gets worse?" Adam asked "Ben, you have-"

"I know what I have done" Ben said "But it will be much worse if I was to wait any longer"

"And it wasn't you, it was the curse" Mal said calmly, before turning to the rulers "Please leave, you are causing discomfort on your son"

"Mal-"

"I believe it is best also" Fairy Godmother said "We need to prepare for the cure"

Belle widen her eyes.

"Isn't that the cure years ago you said could kill him?!?!" Belle exclaimed "Why would you risk-"

"It's a risk I am willing to take, for my kingdom" Ben said "I know the risks but if it works..."

Ben sighed, looking at Fairy Godmother.

"Prepare anything you need, I will help as much as I can. Please also provide me with books of information of this cure so I can also be prepared" Ben stated "We will do this tomorrow night"

Fairy Godmother nodded, hoping the decision the king has made is wise.
