Ben's POV
I opened the door into my bedroom and slammed it shut, making me hear a gasp.
"Ben? Are you all-"
I went straight into the bathroom and shut the door, leaning against it as I sunk onto the floor, in tears.
"What did your parents say to you?" Mal asked. I heard her footsteps outside the door "Ben, talk to me please"
"Mal, I am alright, please go to lunch without me" I said softly as I put my head in my hands.
"Ben, I can sense something happened, holding it back won't work" she said.
"If I tell you, you'll hate me" I said "My parents will turn you against me and-"
"Wait what?" Mal asked "I won't ever hate you, you know that. Even if you've done the worst crime"
I sighed, knowing she still will be disappointed.
I don't want to ruin the image for our baby.
"B-But our child-"
"Your child will be fine, no matter what" Mal urged "We made a promise to never keep secrets from each other and that's all you do now. Think about yourself for once and not anyone else"
I sighed.
"Please, open the door" Mal whispered, hearing her place her hand on the door.
'She won't ever believe you' the voice said, making me stand up with shaky legs.
"Stop it" I whispered.
"Ben? Who are you talking?" Mal asked, worried.
'You know the truth; I will be you' the voice said 'And I'll take your precious wife away-'
"STOP IT!" I exclaimed, collapsing to the floor
"Ben, I'm coming in" Mal said, making me widen my eyes.
"Mal, don't-"
Third POV
Mal couldn't believe what she was seeing when she opened the door of the bathroom.
She expected her husband to be upset, but nothing alarming.
Then she saw him, she actually saw him.
He was on the ground next to the sink, his body shaking as he drowned himself in tears.
His hands were transforming at an alarming rate, going from his normal hands to some claw like configuration before changing back to normal again.
He looked at up at Mal, his eyes flickering between his brown and an eerie lime green.
He looked in pain, like he was fighting something.
She widen her eyes upon his appearance and state.
Why has she not noticed this before?
Was she a bad wife for not realising.
The dots then clicked for Mal as Ben grabbed his head, and yelped in pain.
The claws...the murder known as the 'Beast'...
Mal gasped.
Ben is the murder.
He was the one killing all the people who tried to harm...her.
...But that isn't the Ben she knows and loves.
