Chapter Eighteen

~The next day~

Third POV

"Ben, come on, we can't avoid it forever"

"Mal, I'm nervous"

"You mentioned Fairy Godmother blocked it before? She would know what to do with your curse, there's nothing to be afraid of"

"When she finds out I'm the murder, maybe I'll have one ticket straight to the dungeons"

"Audrey and Uma have done both equally bad things to Auradon and they are accepted"

"They haven't killed anyone though"

"Ben-"

"Mal, what if it comes out during talking to Fairy Godmother? I am struggling to hold it as it is and it's been silent since last night, I'm don't sure what it will-"

"Ben, please calm down"

Mal sighed, getting more and more annoyed at her husband, who's normal confident spirit seemed to fly out the window today. 

"Ben, please...do it for me" Mal whispered "Do it for our child"

Ben sighed, pausing for a second, before nodding as the both of them stood in front of Fairy Godmother's office door. 

Ben hesitated before knocking on Fairy Godmother's office door.

Almost immediately she opened up.

"I was waiting for you two, come in" she said, making Ben even more anxious as Mal walked in, Ben slowly following after her.

Fairy Godmother's office looked exactly like Ben's, except it was only one desk and her walls are covered with bookshelf's full of books. In the corner of the room closest to the door, she had a cauldron, which was bubbling a green liquid.

"How did you know we were-"

"Coming? You two are very loud" Fairy Godmother stated as she sat behind her desk "I do admit, I have never heard you that worried and nervous about telling me something King Ben"

Both Mal and Ben sat in chairs in front of her desk.

Fairy Godmother held her hands and put them on her desk.

"Now, what seems to be the matter?" Fairy Godmother asked, looking worried for the current ruler.

Ben went to speak but them looked down, almost ashamed that it got this far without help.

All of this might not have happened if he reached out earlier.

"Ben?" Fairy Godmother asked.

Mal held Ben's hand with support 

"I think you already know, as you deal with it years ago" Ben stated, making Fairy Godmother gasp "It was awaken after Audrey put that spell on me when she was under the sceptre"

After that he told her everything.

From when he started having the nightmares, to when the voice was present.

He talked about getting his memories back and how he thought at the time the only way to keep Mal safe was to eliminate all threats, by any needs necessary.

He admitted to the murders, including Captain Hooks.

As the information came out, the more Ben felt like something had been lifted off his shoulders.
