"Hey, are you alright?"

John didn't seem to be paying attention to him but was brought out of it when (Y/N) snapped his fingers repeatedly. "Ah, sorry. I was thinking about something."

He just raised an eyebrow but thought nothing of it. "It's fine, though you should probably get that arm of yours fixed up." Pointing towards his broken arm that had a big bruise.

John remembered his broken arm and held it. John sighed "Damn, it's broken again." He muttered lowly, (Y/N) was able to hear him. Which made his eyebrows narrowed when he heard what he said. Broken again? Does this happen daily? Man, that must suck.

"Hey, you wouldn't mind if you went with me to the infirmary?" John asked. Should he go with him? I mean, it's not like he has anything else to do anyway.

"Uh, sure." Was his only response. The two of them started walking down the hall towards Doc's office. It was quiet when they were walking. Maybe he should strike up a conversation? "So, who was that? How did you get into that fight with him?"

"Hm? Oh, well, his name was Gavin, from what I've heard. He was picking on someone, so I decided to help him out. It just didn't seem right to pick on someone weaker, so I just jumped in to help. I tried fighting him, but as you can see, it didn't go too well." John nervously chuckled as he waved his broken arm. What a guy, someone who cares about others instead of himself. "Oh, we're here."

(BREAK)

"So, John. Back again with the broken arm?"

"..." Right now, John was looking at his casted arm while he was getting scolded by doc. It was an interesting show.

"How many times do I have to tell you to watch yourself? DO YOU REALLY HAVE TO DIE BEFORE YOU UNDERSTAND?" Doc towered over John using his scary face.

"Ah! Calm down, Doc! I said I'm sorry!"

(Y/N) chuckled in amusement. This was fun to watch. Doc just grumbled something unintelligent and started walking into the back to make a tonic for John. (Y/N) turned towards John, "So, I take it that this happens a lot?"

The boy in question sighed as he rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, it sucks. I really want a moment of peace sometimes." He felt some empathy for the boy when he said that.

He wasn't always strong. He used to be a low tier as well. He was bullied a lot during his middle school years. Sometimes he wanted a rest from it too. High tiers and elite tiers would look down upon him, and mid-tiers would usually beat him up. But he had enough of it, so he started to train his ability, brutal years of training, and finally, his ability turned into what it is now. Ultra Instinct. He started rising the ladder overtime but stopped from going too far up. He asked himself something. Why would he associate with the very people that despised him before he became strong? They only cared about the power of someone. They don't care about who he really was.

Doc came back with a green looking tonic for John. "Here, John. Your arm should heal in three hours."

"Uh, thanks Doc."
