Chapter 5: Seraphina

Side note I changed a bit of Ultra Instinct in the A/N section. I was going over abilities and the power scaling seemed off to me so I changed it.

Sera?

(Y/N) looked up to see a magenta haired girl talking to John and just stared at her. For a moment, he felt a wave of familiarity, was it? This girl seemed oddly familiar. He just objectively blinked when he felt it. Was this the same Seraphina that Keene talked about? Definitely. If the nickname 'Sera' didn't give that away when he was as dumb as shit.

Seraphina took notice of (Y/N) presence after talking to John for a second. She looked towards John again before pointing towards (Y/N).

John turned to see what she was pointing to before turning back to Seraphina. "Ah, that's right! Sera, this is (Y/N). He's the one who helped me fight off Gavin."

(Y/N) could've sworn he saw her eyes widen for a fraction of a second. But went back to normal after. (Y/N) stood up when she walked towards him and looked him in the eyes. He was about 6 feet tall, so he looked down to meet her gaze. Her blue eyes meeting his silver eyes. "So, you're the new student everyone's been talking about on my way here."

"Yeah. That's right."

Both of them stared into each other's eyes for a good solid 5 seconds. Was this creepy? Maybe, but she didn't seem to stop staring either. But for some odd reason, he saw her face showed signs, of recognition? Her face hid it well, but he could still see it. If so, she definitely knows something that he doesn't. He'll ask her later. Her giggling brought him out of his trance, and she held out a hand. "Welcome to Wellston, then."

He quickly took it. "Ah, thanks."

After that little exchange, she looked towards John's direction with a hardened look, "John." (Y/N) could've sworn he heard a faint 'meep' from John.

"What's this about?" She showed John the text that he sent her. About how he needed help.

John just nervously smiled and started to explain. "I, uh. I'm dying of boredom. Doc won't let me leave for another three hours!"

Sera just smirked at his explanation. "..."

'Pft! Lol sucks for you' She laughed off while John felt turned down. "Well, I gotta go back to class. I'm pretty sure (Y/N) can accompany me on my way to class." She started walking away. "But I'll remember to not wait for you when school is over."

"Who are you kidding," John replied when he grabbed her shoulder. "You never go to class. Besides, (Y/N) wouldn't just ditch me like that. Come on! Help out a friend! Keep me company!"

Yeah, that's right, bros before hoes. (Y/N) mentally smirked.

(BREAK)

Bing. Bing. Bing.

Phone noises were sounding off throughout the entire room. The three of them were playing Slappy Pigs, currently trying to outdo each other. So far, he had the highest record. Until...

"YEAH!"

Both (Y/N) and Seraphina looked up towards John. He had this creepy-ass face. It was scaring him right now. Yo, what's with the creepy cackling right now?!
