Chapter 13: Thoughts and Training

I finally updated! I'm not dead guys, just been a bit slow with the updating. Honestly' I've been lazy lately. But hopefully now I'll be able to update more.

I fixed some grammar errors in some of my previous chapters. So, you know, that's good. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

(Y/N) opened the doors to the roof to see John and Sera sitting by the fence. He saw Sera playing on her phone while John was. Trembling? He seemed afraid. Huh, strange.

He made his way towards them before looking over to John. "What's wrong with you?"

John started trembling more. "I just found out that our report cards are coming out on Friday... Man, even the thought of it makes me anxious! "

(Y/N) blinked. That's what he's afraid about? "Well, there's nothing you can do about it now. Try harder next time."

Comical tears started pouring out of John while he muttered about how all of his friends were way smarter than him and that it was way easy for them. Sera found it amusing.

(Y/N) sighed before sitting down next to John. He hunched over when he sat down, putting his arm on his knee while he rested his head on his palm. What was he doing here again? Didn't they have class right now? Sera asked both of them to come to the roof. Bah, it didn't matter. Right now was poetry class. Not sure why they had that as a class. He took his water bottle out of his shirt pocket and started chugging it down.

"Hey, John..." John and (Y/N) turned their heads towards Sera. "I don't think I'll be able to return the book to you."

"..."

"Elaine found it, didn't she?" (Y/N)'s eyes widened as he started to choke on his water while trying to cough it out. Sera's hand slipped up, which resulted in her losing whatever game she was playing. What the shit Sera! How did you fuck that up! What did you do, leave out in the open for people to see? Might as well tell the whole world you own a copy of the book.

"Well..."

"OH COME ON! You're always so careless! I even warned you and everything! You might have godly abilities, but you can't rewind all of your mistakes-!"

"OKAY, I get it. I messed up."

(Y/N) sighed before running his hands through his hair. "So, what do you plan to do now? The authorities won't turn a blind eye to this."

Sera sighed before explaining. "I'm gonna keep the book and make sure they don't trace it back to John."

(Y/N) scratched the side of his head. He's already getting a headache. "What about you?"

Sera shrugged. What does she mean by shrug! "There's no way to get past the lie detector. So I'm gonna get in trouble anyway."

"..."

"But don't worry. They'll be lenient with me. After all, I am Wellston's Ace."

John could only sigh while (Y/N) sat there before taking a big inhale and then exhaled.

"So Sera, what'd you think about the book?" John asked. He was curious about his friend's opinion. (Y/N) was also interested in her opinion on the book. Everyone had different opinions on things.
