It all started with a fight.

Chapter 16

When she points to the screen that's when we see that its a little boy and I start to cry. I cant believe that its a little boy and that me and Jake is going to have a son. My tears are happy tears and Jake bends over and kisses me and he looks down at me and says "Alex we are going to have a son, this is going to be so much fun I cant wait, I'm so happy!" I laugh at the way he was acting. "I know now we get to go buy some stuff and pick names out for him, I cant wait to tell daddy!" The doctor asks us if we wanted her to print off the picture of our son and we both nodded our head. She cleans the gel off my stomach and tells me I can sit up now. I pull my shirt down and Jake helps me sit up on the bed.

The nurse prints out 4 picture of our son and hands them to us and then sits back down and looks between me and Jake, "Do ya'll have any questions about raising a baby and what will happen to your body and your son." I shake my head no and she tells us we can leave now just sign out at the front desk and we get up and I sign my name and we walk out of the doctor office with the pictures of our son. We are so happy about this and I cant wait to show my dad.

Some times I wish my mom was here with me so I could have a female to talk about all this that's going on. I'm scared to be honest. What if I'm going to be a good mom and did I do the right thing with Ryan? I mean he should be in his child's life right? But Jake is here now and that's all that matters right now. We get in the truck and Jake backs out and we head to my house. "Jake do you think we should wait to tell everybody its a boy until we have a baby shower?" "We should wait till we have a baby shower and then we can get a cake made that has blue on the inside and when we cut into it all they see is the blue!"

"That would be awesome so we need to start planning this today so that way we can get ready for it and buy some stuff. Do you think your mom will be able to come to it?" Jake takes a moment before he answers, "Yeah we can ask her tomorrow if you want?" "Yea sure it would be great if shes able to come."

We pull up in my driveway, "Jake do you want to come in and stay for a little bit?" "I would but I promised mom I would bring my sister over to come see her." "Oh ok that's fine I'll see you tomorrow then?" "Yeah I'll be over by 12 to pick you up and then we will head over to see mama and talk to her about it." "OK." We kiss goodbye and I walk into the house and I see I'm home alone thank God. I haven't had time for myself since all this happened and now that I do I'm soaking in a tube of hot water.

I undress and slip down into the water and I can fill my body relax almost instantly and for the first time I look at my stomach real good and I can see where my dad and Jake meant by this is going to be big baby my belly is huge for five months and I lay my hands softly on it and whisper "Mama already loves you baby boy."

After I get out of the bathtub I pick my phone up and call the one person who I never believed I would want to call. It rings and rings at first I thought nobody was going to answer but when I was about to hang up I head his voice,

"Alex is that you?" I stay silent at first but then I get the nerve up to speak.

"Yes its me Ryan I just called to tell you something."

"Ok what is it?"

"Its a boy Ryan." And as soon as them four words came out of my mouth my voice cracks.
