Toph's POV
"Toph! Come on we are going to be late!" Zuko called from down stairs. Toph groaned as she pulled her hair up into a bun, "Hold on! Just give me a minute!"
Ever since Azula sprained her ankle, she didn't wake up as early. She would always be up, first thing in the morning to go to volleyball and woke up Zuko. But she saw no purpose in it until she was healed so the siblings were now often late to school. Thankfully, Azula should be better in a couple days.
Toph put on a hoodie and slipped on her slides while grabbing her back pack. She slung it over her shoulder and dashed down stairs. Zuko was fumbling with his keys, and when he noticed her he let out a groan, "come on! Azula is in the car, we gotta go, I do not want to be late again." he said, grabbing his sister's arm.
They got in the car, with Azula waiting for them in the backseat, "great you made it! Now what took you so long? I still gotta meet up with Ty Lee!" she pointed out.
Zuko started up the car, and gave Toph a free pick of the music. "-u-" "TOPH!" Zuko yelled at her. Azula smirked as she scrolled through her phone, "Let her be ZuZu, she seems to be in a good mood."
"I hate your friends and they hate me too!" Zuko rolled his eyes, giving up.
Soon they got to school, and Zuko helped Azula out, and handed her her crutches. She then left them to go find Ty Lee. "Let's get to first period before we are late." Toph suggested, and Zuko agreed.
He helped her there, then left for his own class. Toph sat in the back of class, bored. The teacher started talking about whatever they were learning, but Toph had something else on mind. Sokka.
She focused for a minute, thinking of what to say. Hey, wassup? I'm bored. She thought, trying to contact her soulmate. She waited a minute before hearing his voice, Not much, just trying not to fall asleep in math.
She smiled, thinking of how much of an idiot he could be. You are an idiot, lmao, it was nice to talk to you in person btw. She admitted, as she felt her arm tingle.
Same here, btw I want you to window again, there is something I want to show you. Sokka was able to show Toph things, but only if she was able to accept it. She smiled again, he had shown her a sunset, a lake view, and the sky, what did he have in store for her tonight? She wondered.
Sokka's POV
"Sokka! No writing to your soulmate during class!" his teacher snapped at him. He looked up and noticed her glaring at him. He put his blue maker away and chuckled, "I dunno what you are talking about mam." His teacher rolled her dark eyes and continued the math lesson.
"That was close, you gotta be more careful Sokka." Suki whispered to him. "No, you think?" he whispered back, with a bunch of sarcasm in his tone. SHe rolled her eyes and looked back up at the teacher.
Soon class was over, and so was another and another, until it was lunch. He sat down next to Mai and Yue. They started talking about makeup and all that girly girl stuff, until Aang ran up to them, "GUYS!" he jumped with excitement.
"Woah there," Sokka said, "Why are you so cheerful?" he asked. Aag tried to hold it in as much as he could, but failed, "I can write to my soulmate now!" he said, showing them his arm. Yue went to his side and started looking through what they had written, which wasn't much. It was orange and blue, and said things like : hi. They never said names.
"I wonder who it could be!" he said, jumping some more. Sokka smiled, "Speaking of soulmates, imma show toph something tonight." Suki looked at him, narrowing her eyes, "why would you do that?! I told you before it's dangerous!"
"But it's worth it!" he replied, "She is blind and the only things she has seen are the things i have shown her, i want to show her as much as i can! She deserves it, she never asked to be blind!" she yelled at her.
She stood up, "well don't come to me when you are weak and need to go to the hospital." she snapped, walking off. Sokka watched her. "Ill go make sure she dosent do anything stupid,"Mai said, leaving as well.
Sokka sighed, and looked at his remaining friends, "you think what i'm doing is good, right?" he asked. Aang nodded, "What you are doing is the sweetest, romantic thing I have heard," He smiled dreamly, "but please be careful, she has a point, it's dangerous."
He nodded, "Don't worry, I will be fine. Anyways, has anyone seen Katara?" he asked.Yue and Aang shook their heads no, but soon she came running up to the group, "guys! I can write to my soulmate now!" she squealed.
"No way! Congrats sis!" Sokka ruffled her hair. She smiled, shoving his hand off. "Me too!" Aang said, rolling up his sleeve. Katara did too, and they looked at each other, their faces red.
"What's wrong?" Yue asked. Sokka leaned over and looked at their arms.
They were soulmates.

That afternoon, sokka sat in front of his window, making sure everything was perfect for Toph. He had something taped to his window, along with a perfect view of the sunset.
He then pulled out his blue pen, and started to write. You ready?

Sokka closed his eyes, concentrating on showing Toph what he wanted to show her. He then opened them, looking at the perfect view of the sunset, and a picture.
The picture was one of both of them from when they met in the park. On it he had written :I love you. It was hard, but he held on as much as he could. He wanted Toph to see this as much as she could.
He then looked to the sky, where stars started dancing along the atmosphere. A shooting star started to fall. He smiled, and before he knew it, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he had fallen over with a thud.
Katara's POV
Katara was down stairs, making a sandwich since she was hungry. She was still blushing at the fact that her crush was her soulmate. She then heard a thud from upstairs. It spooked her, "Sokka?" she called.
No answer.
"SOKKA!"
No answer.
She dropped her sandwich and ran up the stairs into her brother's room. There he laid on the floor. She started to breath fast. She fumbled with her phone, calling 911.
Soon an ambulance came, and took them to the hospital. She pulled out her phone and called Aang, while crying. "Aang! Meet me down at the hospital, get Yue, Mai, and Suki! Hurry." she hung up before he could even talk.
Sokka moaned, opening his eyes a little, "Katara?" he moaned. She rushed to his side, " what happened Sokka? What did you do?" she begged for him to tell her.
"I-i showed T-toph.." he said, his eyes half closed. Streams of tears started to fall from her eyes, "Y-you knew it was dangerous, why would you do it!" Sokka waited a minute before he answered.
"I love her."
Toph's POV
Toph was playing a game with her brother, sister, and Ty Lee. They were having fun, laughing their heads off. That's when Zuko's phone rang. He handed it to her, "Mai says it's for you." he said.
Toph took it from her brother, "Hello?" she asked. "I-is this Toph?" Toph raised an eyebrow, "Yes." Sobs were heard from the other side of the phone, "Th-this is Katara, Sokka's s-sister, h-he. Sokka he-" Toph's eyes widened.
The phone slipped from her hand, and fell to the floor.
