* Hi. I made a new fanfic. I hope you enjoy this wrong. I gave it a bit more writing.*
Y/N can make friends easily with everyone she meets. Always cheerful, when something bad has happened, she’ll just laugh it off. She is quite skillful for her age, however her father, Takeshi, disapproves of her being a ninja. He wants Y/N to grow up to become a modern Lady, since she is the heir to the Kaneko clan. Anything that seems dangerous or that she has to use her jutsu is not allowed. Y/N does not have a good relationship with her father. Since Y/N’s mother's death, Takeshi has distanced himself from Y/N and her younger brother, Junko. He would make up excuses to be alone and not spend time with his children, especially Y/N. A maid named Akemi, takes care of the children while the father is busy.
Y/N is about 6 years old, she would go out to play at the park. This is where she met Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, Shino, and Kiba with Akamaru. They would play until their parents picked them up. Y/N sometimes stay a little longer with Naruto so he doesn’t feel lonely. There are days when she invites them to your house for lunch, and also invites Sakura, Ino, and Hinata. She would try to hang with Susuke, after hearing what happened with his clan. Y/N keep on smiling, helping others when they have a bad day.
On days when Y/N is alone, she would train by herself in secret. She knows if her father finds out, she would get in big trouble. A few times she would come home with some cuts on her knees or blisters on the hands. She makes excuses saying, “I trip” or “I was using the monkey bars too much”. The only people that knew about her training at the time were her friends and her brother.
At the age 8, the third Hokage knew about Y/N’s secret training. He asks for her to come to his office, without telling the main reason. The maid received the message and went to talk to Y/N’s father.
(Akemi) “Sir, the third Lord Hokage asks for Y/N Kaneko’s presence.”
(Takeshi) “What does he need with my daughter?”
(Akemi) “It wasn’t clear, but he says he would like to speak with her.”
(Takeshi) “Very well. Go receive my daughter and take her to the Hokage’s office.”
(Akemi) “Of course, sir.”
(Takeshi) “And you will report to me everything that is said and done.”
(Akemi) “Yes sir.” She left to pick you up.
(Granny) “You haven’t seen Y/N in a while my son.”
(Takeshi) “Not now mother. I have too much work in my hands.”
(Granny) She smacks Takeshi on the head. “You cannot blame the little girl for something she didn’t do.”
(Takeshi) “Mother, I’m not blaming anyone for anything.”
(Granny) “In that case, stop treating her as an enemy and treat her like your daughter! She loves you very much, but she thinks that she is only a burden to you. Plus, she wants to become a ninja.”
(Takeshi) “That is the only thing I disapprove of. If she becomes a ninja and goes on a mission, what if she can’t control her power?”
(Granny) “She will need training.”
(Takeshi) “No, she is better off…”
(Granny) “Do not finish that sentence!”
(Takeshi) “I was going to say lock in, not dead.”
(Granny) She smacks his head. “That is worse.”
(Takeshi) “Oww.”
Akemi went to the park to pick Y/N up. At the park, she was playing with her friends.
(Y/N) “Throw it over here!”
(Kiba) “Catch it Y/N!”
Before you caught it, Naruto jumped and caught the ball.
(Y/N) “Hey!” You fell backward. “Oww.”
(Naruto) “Too slow.”
(Y/N) You looked at your hand and there was a scratch. “I got another one.” You laughed, while waving your hand.
(Shikamaru) “What a drag, you seriously have to be careful.”
(Shino) “Wouldn’t your dad be upset.”
(Y/N) “He might, if he finds out.” You smiled. *And if he ever notices me, that is.*
(Shikamaru) “Do you ever frown?”
(Y/N) “I don’t know. Do you ever smile?”
(Choji) “I’ve seen him smile before, it’s nice.”
(Y/N) “I would like to see it.” You smiled.
(Shikamaru) He blushed a bit. “What a drag.” He walked away and sat on the swings.
(Kiba) “I have a band-aid. Here you go Y/N.”
(Y/N) “Thanks Kiba.”
