Chapter 15: Trip with a friend

This chapter felt short...

Y/N had escaped from the Anbu who wanted her mask. Instead, she stole his. To avoid the Anbu, she rushed through a Hot springs and exited from the back door. Took off her own mask and cloak so she doesn't get recognized. While escaping she bumped into someone she hadn't expected.
(???) "Hey watch where you're… Y/N?"
(Y/N) "Naruto!"
(Naruto) "Y/N!"
(Y/N) "Naruto!"
(Naruto) "Y/N!"
(Both) "What are you doing here!?" Both of you pull each other to an embrace. Naruto may have given you a tight grip.
(Y/N) "Can't… Breath…"
(Naruto) "Sorry!" He let you go. "I can't believe you're here! Aren't you supposed to be in the Land of Lighting?"
(Y/N) "I was there. I'm just doing an errand for my village. Along with my team." Both of you started walking through town.

(Naruto) "How long will you be away? Everyone at the Village misses you."
(Y/N) "I don't know how long, but I also miss them." You laughed. "How is everyone?"
(Naruto) "Eh, same as always I guess." He placed both arms behind his head. "We're all on missions. Been busy since the attack."
(Y/N) "Attack? What attack?" You asked, almost yelling.
(Naruto) "You haven't heard? The Leaf Village was under attack. Most places were destroyed. We are all doing our part to help the Village."

(Y/N) "How's Junko!?!" You grabbed Naruto's collar. "Is he OK!?! Please tell me he's still eating his vegetables!"
(Naruto) "Junko is alright! Don't know about the vegetables though." You let go of him. "He's learning Medical Ninjutsu."
(Y/N) "Good for him!" You smiled widely. "Too bad I wasn't there." You chuckle. "Who knows how much of a difference I could have made if I hadn't left." You kept a smile which only concerned Naruto.
(Naruto) "Y/N, you-"
(???) "There you are! Did you get what you wanted? We have to go."
(Y/N) "No way." You whispered.
(Naruto) "Oh, right. Y/N this is-"

(Y/N) "One of the Legendary Sanin! The Toad Mountain Sage! A student of the Third Hokage. Jiraiya! Hello sir, I’m Y/N Kaneko." You jumped in excitement.
(Jiraiya) "Well, well, well. Seems to me I have another fan.” He grinned proudly. “I told you I was famous.” He reminded Naruto.
(Y/N) “Sorry, I’m not a fan.” You smiled apologetically. “I just get excited meeting people who I read about through my books. I love reading about history, you see.”

(Naruto) “I guess you’re not famous after all.” He smirks. Then Naruto faced you. “Where will you be going after this?”
(Y/N) “We’re heading to another town, straight to Tanzaku Town.”
(Jiraiya) “We’ll be heading there too.”
(Naruto) “Really?! Why don’t we go together!? I can catch you up on what's been going on with the gang.” He places an arm around your shoulders.
(Y/N) “That sounds great! Let me ask my team first.”

(Kazan) “Ask us what?” Kazan asks behind you, with his arms behind his head. The other two, closely following.
(Naruto) “Who is this creep?”
(Kazan) “Who you callin’ creep, you little twerp!” He yelled.
(Tenpi) “Hello.” Tenpi bowed to Jiraiya. “I am Tenpi. This is Enkai. The loud idiot over there is Kazan. It is nice to meet the both of you.” He lifted his head. “I assume both are from the Leaf Village and are acquaintances of Y/N.”

(Naruto) “This is your team?”
(Y/N) “Guys this is Naruto, my classmate and friend. And this is Jiraiya. These two are heading to the next town we’re heading to.”
(Naruto) “We should all head together! If you don’t mind. I would like to catch up with Y/N before we part ways again.” Everyone looked over at Tenpi.
(Tenpi) “What?”
(Kazan) “Should we?”
(Enkai) “It could be fun.”
(Tenpi) “I am not the one leading this trip.” He looked over to Y/N, so did the others. Y/N stiffens.
(Y/N) You laughed nervously. “Let’s go then.”

(Jiraiya) “Ok! Let’s go!” He pointed out.
(Naruto) “Could you at least tell me the third step of my training, Pervy Sage!” Both Y/N and Kazan laughed at Jiraiya’s nickname. While Jiraiya glared at Naruto.
(Y/N) “Pfft. Ahem. Umm, training?”
(Naruto) “Pervy Sage here is teaching me a new Jutsu.”
(Y/N) “That’s cool. May I ask which one is it?”
(Jiraiya) “Since you asked so nicely, I can’t say no to the pretty young lady.” He gave a goofy grin. He blew into a balloon and gave it to Naruto. “The first step, rotation. The second, force.” He blew into another balloon. “Finally, the third step is this.” He held out the balloon.

(Naruto) He glared into the balloon. “What do you mean by this, already!”
(Jiraiya) “It may look like I’m holding an ordinary balloon. Let me show you what I’m doing. On my left hand this time.” He held out his hand. “Let’s see what’s really happening inside the balloon." Suddenly a ball of chakra was formed.
(Naruto/ Y/N) “Woah. Incredible!”
(Jiraiya) “Now listen, in the third step, you got to draw up 100% of what you learned so far. And then maintain it.”
(Y/N) “I’ve read something about this kind of Jutsu in my studies. If I remember correctly it was developed by the fourth Hokage.” You exclaimed.
(Kazan) “It’s not that impressive.” He mumbles.

Jiraiya shows a demonstration how this new Jutsu works. Y/N was interested in how it was performed and amazed how it was used. Hopefully, just maybe, she might be able to use this Jutsu as well. Naruto explained how he trained in order to learn this Jutsu.

(Y/N) “Rotation. Force. Maintain. It sounds easy enough.” You ramble on about how this Jutsu is used. “Jiraiya Sensei, is it possible for someone like me to learn this Jutsu?”
(Jiraiya) “You can certainly try.”
(Naruto) “Good luck. This Jutsu is the second hardest Jutsu to master.” He warned.
(Y/N) “Well,” You took a water balloon. “I’ll never know if I don’t try. First is rotation right?”
(Kazan) “You’re seriously wasting time to learn this stupid trick?”
(Y/N) “Who knows, it could be useful in my battles.”

(Enkai) “Y/N-chan, there’s a cut on your ear.” Enkai said in concern.
(Y/N) “Oh? This must be from the Anbu I fought earlier.”
(Naruto/Kazan/Enkai) “You fought an Anbu!?”
(Y/N) “I took his mask too.” You whispered to the boys with a smirk. Tenpi and Jiraiya were far ahead, not able to hear thier conversation.
(Enkai) “Can’t believe you took on an Anbu by yourself.”
(Naruto) “Will believe it! Y/N is a Jonin after all.” He proudly announced.
(Y/N) “Thanks, Naruto. But I barely escaped. The Anbu I fought could use wood style.”
(Kazan) “I thought that was a lost Jutsu. As much as I heard, only the first Hokage from the Leaf used wood style.”
(Enkai) “But it would explain why that person is an Anbu.”

~Meanwhile~
(Jiraiya) “Y/N Kaneko. I assume her father is Takeshi Kaneko.”
(Tenpi) “You are correct.” Answered without any emotion or hesitation.
(Jiraiya) “I’m pretty sure the three of you aren’t from Konoha.”
(Tempi) “That is correct, sir.”
(Jiraiya) “How did the four of you end up on the same team?"
(Tenpi) "Lady Kaneko is now undergoing training in the Kaneko Village in the Land of Lighting. She will be living there for the time being."
(Jiraiya) "Takeshi's idea no doubt." Tenpi nodded in response. "He has always been quite paranoid." Suddenly they felt a large gust of wind behind them.
(Naruto) "C'mon! I almost had it that time!"
(Y/N) "If only I could rotate it the other way too… How did you do it?"
(Jiraiya) He chuckled. "Those two really are something else."
:Tenpi thoughts: *She certainly is.*

Two bursts were heard by Y/N and Naruto.
(Y/N) "I did it." You said in non belief. "I did it!" You chirped up. "I finally burst the water balloon!"
(Naruto) "That only took you about an hour!" He responded in a jealous tone.
(Jiraiya) "That's great. You can practice the second step."
(Y/N) "Force."
(Jiraiya) "Exactly." He threw a rubber ball. "Try popping this one."
(Naruto) "It's harder than you might think."
(Jiraiya) "Will you look at that, we're here." Naruto walked next to Jiraiya. "Tsunade is impatient and extremely quick to anger."

(Y/N / Enkai) "Tsunade?" Naruto's balloon popped and he fell to the ground.
(Jiraiya) "C'mon kid. We don't have time to sit back. If we don't hurry, who knows where that wayward woman will scamper off to next."
(Naruto) He jumped up. "Listen you Pervy Sage, that's no way to talk to an apprentice who's working his butt off!"
(Jiraiya) "Oh zip it. Just calm down will ya. Tsunade is the priority here."
(Y/N) "Wait a minute, you're looking for Tsunade!"
(Jiraiya) "Sure am. That's our mission."
(Y/N) "It's been awhile since we saw Lady Tsunade and Shizune. Right Enkai?"
(Enkai) "Y-Yeah." His cheeks showed a hint of pink.

(Naruto) "You really met that old lady!"
(Y/N) "She looked young, despite her age. When Enkai and I met her, they were in gambling room with slot machines. Losing every round."
(Jiraiya) He laughed at the description. "That sounds about right!"

(Kazan) "Tsunade. That's the lady who taught you Medical Ninjutsu." You nodded in response.
(Y/N) "Alright Kazan, you wanted to come here. What's your plan?"
(Kazan) "Unlike this Tsunade person. I have luck by my side." He proudly announced.
(Y/N) "Sure. Hey Naruto, I'll see you around okay! We're going to settle in."
(Naruto) "Okay! Just promise me we'll see each other again."
(Y/N) "Don't worry about it." They went their separate ways in the meantime.
