Chapter 12: Family Reunion

(Yugen) "Tell me, what trouble have you got yourself into this time?"

(Kazan) "Who is this idiot?" He whispered to you, "Is he your cousin or something?"

(Y/N) "Yugen is the messenger between the Kaneko's in the Land of Lighting and the Kaneko's in the Land of Fire. He also took care of me and my brother when we were younger."

Yugen's mother had served the Kaneko Clan from the Land of Lighting for half her life. The Clan treated her and Yugen as very good friends. They even saved their lives. For that, Yugen and his mother repay the Clan by serving them, as a servant and a guard.

The family from the Land of Lighting came to the Land of Fire once every 2 months, for 2 years. They would stay in the Leaf Village for a couple of days. Almost a week. They would take Yugen with them. When Yugen was there, he would be stuck babysitting Y/N and Junko. During those times he became friends with Y/N and Junko. Unfortunately, after Y/N's mother's funeral, Takeshi had cut ties with all families, especially the Kaneko family from the Land of Lighting. But for the next 2 years, the Clan from the Land of Lightning sent Yugen and one other Shinobi along with him to keep in touch with the Leaf. Yugen stopped coming afterwards.

(Y/N) "We haven't seen each other for 5 or 6 years." You took a better look at him, "You have grown tall. You're taller than Kazan."

(Kazan) "We're basically the same height!" He yelled in the background.

(Y/N) "What exactly are you doing here?" You stayed on guard, especially around Yugen. You knew he had always been talented when he was younger. 6 years had passed, he could be stronger now. "Aren't you far from home?" You smirk.

(Yugen) "I could be asking you the same question. Shouldn't you be at home learning how to hold a cup of tea?" He chuckled. "If you must know, our territory expanded quite a bit."

(Kazan) "C'mon! Let us pass or DIE!!"

(Y/N) "Kazan! Stay down!" You push him back, then face back at Yugen. "I guess you haven't heard."

(Yugen) "Heard what?"

(Y/N) "I'm a Jonin." You grin widely. "And learning to hold a cup of tea, that was done at age 3." You joke. "But look at you, age 17 and let me guess... No girlfriend?"

(Yugen) "Hey! I'm not 17, yet. Don't you have an old man to throw up on?"

(Y/N) "Once! That only happened once! At least I dont swallow my own fingernails."

(Yugen) "That was not my fault! Stinker!"

(Y/N) "Fishtails!"

(Yugen) "Snot Launcher!"

(Y/N) "Pervert!"

Tenpi stood patiently until Y/N and Yugen finished arguing. Enkai was too afraid to interrupt both Y/N and Yugen. He couldn't spit out a syllable. Kazan had enough of the arguing.

(Kazan) "ALRIGHT!! DON'T THE BOTH YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO THAN INSULT EACH OTHER!!" He yelled more at Yugen than you.

(Yugen) "Why are you yelling at me, it was--"

(Y/N) "Homura," Yugen stared at you. You had a serious-worried expression, "I'm looking for Homura Kaneko. My great uncle. I need his help."

(Yugen) "Lord Homura? It has been less than a decade since Lord Homura wanted to do anything with your side of the family. I don't know how he'll react if he sees you."

(Y/N) "It is an urgent matter. All I want is to talk."

(Yugen) "Mhmm? Fine, but we need to walk through town to get to him."
