Chap 21: Intence

Princewill wasn't in school today and I was currently in our noisy civic class, the teacher wasn't around so the class went haywire. I couldn't even concentrate on the note I was copying because of Amaka, she was currently on her phone, chatting with only God knows who, she was either smiling, blushing and laughing everytime, so that meant it was a boy she was chatting with.

I peered over her shoulder to see who but only saw a weird name she saved his contact with, but i could recognize his profile pic.

Nathan, of course. I rolled my eyes and went back to copying my note.

Somehow it was really annoying, her loud laughs, giggles and the nosiness in class was really irritating me.

Mike and Danny were playing games on their phones while Janet had a note to complete, like me, with earpods in her ear, blocking the noise- maybe I should've done that- and Cynthia, well Cynthia was already in her own dreamland, and by dreamland, i meant she was asleep. I wondered how she could sleep with all this noise.

"Ah! Finally done!" Janet exclaimed stretching her hands up in the air

"Why is she laughing?" She asked looking behind me at Amaka

"She's chatting with Nathan" i reply

"Oh" she rolled her eyes and I stifled a giggle

"You're rolling you eyes as if you don't do that when chatting with Mike"  I glanced at Mike. She playfully glared at me and I laughed focusing back on my notes

"So what happened to Princewill?" She asked

"I don't know" i shrugged

"Mike called him but he isn't picking up" that perked my interest

"I doubt he's sick, he was completely fine yesterday" i muttered to myself but she heard, her eyes sparked with interest as she grinned at me

"So you guys met on Sunday, oya gist me"

"Nothing really happened, we met at the cemetery, talked for a bit, got ice cream and he excorted me home" i summerised

"Really? That's all? You bore me" we both jumped when we heard Amaka's voice, we both turned around and she was giggling at her phone but her ears were in our conversation

"Don't chat what you're chatting eyah"

"Awww, Nathan is such a sweetheart..... Wait o, what were you guys doing at the cemetery?"

Oh right, they didn't know about my mom, and judging from their reaction they didn't know about Princewill's brother either

"I went to visit my mom" i replied hoping they won't bombard me with more questions

"What would your mom be doing in- Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" she said as realization struck her pulling me into a bear hug completely abandoning her phone and Janet joined her.

"We're so sorry" Janet whispered

I felt another pair of arms wrap around me and another, and another

"I don't know what's happening but this feels nice" Danny voiced out

"She lost her mom" Amaka whispered. Their eyes widened in shock at first before sympathizing with me

"Guys seriously, I'm fine, it was a year ago" but it still hurts

"It's okey poor baby, even if Princewill is not here we're enough to console you" Danny said and I understood the double meaning in his tone

"Danny, I swear I'm going to slap you" i said "and please you guys are soffacating me" They immediately pull away from me laughing.
