Chap 2: New Enemies

The bell was rung for lunch break and believe me I was extremely hungry cause I didn't have breakfast this morning. I packed my books into my back and left the class when Princewill caught up with me

"Hi"

"Em..hi?" that came out wrong

"Let me walk you to the cafeteria" he offered and I nodded my head

We were discussing and laughing about each other's likes and dislikes and I found out that Princewill is actually fun to be with....well.. except for his cocky behavior. We got to the cafeteria and Princewill's friends called his attention

"See you later cupcake"

"Cupcake?!" I raised an eyebrow

"Yeah, it suit you" he winked and I rolled my eyes. Just then I noticed the unwanted glares I was getting by all the girls in the cafeteria, if looks could kill, I would have been six feet under the ground

What crime did I commit nau?

I saw Amaka waving her hand in the air to get my attention and I joined her and the girl she was sitting with

"Hi, I'm Janet" the girl introduced herself

"Adah" I told her
"Can someone please tell me why the girls are glaring daggers at me?" I asked sitting down, they both began to laugh and I just stared at them confused

"Ah! Girl are you that oblivious? On your first day of school you have already grab the attention of Princewill, something that some of these girls have been doing for years" Amaka said munching on her meat pie

"He's very popular guy in school, hashtag most handsome, captain of basketball team but mostly he's a playboy, so becareful" Janet said

"Abegi did I say I want to date him, anyway let me go and buy something to eat" I said fetching out my purse and walked to the canteen

"Two meat pies, one donut and a bottle of sprit, cold one" I ordered and waited for her to arrange my snacks, just then Stephanie and her minoins approached me, I rolled my eyes

What is it now?

"Hey four eyes, what were you doing with Princewill?" she asked glaring at me

"Exactly what you saw" I replied and gave the canteen lady the money in exchange for my snacks

"Thank you ma" I said and was about walking away when one of her minoins blocked my way

"See I am very hungry and what you guys are doing is very annoying" I said slightly irritated

"Listen here, you better stay away from Princewill cause he's mine" she said snapping her fingers at my face and I slapped it away, these girls were irritating me and I didn't have time for this, so I pushed the idiot that was blocking my way and went to join Amaka and Janet

"You just got yourself a new enemy Adah" she yelled for me to hear

Before did I have old one

"What took you so long?" Janet asked

"And why you con dey frown" Amaka asked

"This Stephanie girl and her minions, telling me stay away from Princewill, he's mine" I mimicked her voice making Amaka and Janet laugh

"How many guys does she now what?"

"Nawaoo she's pursuing the head boy and him again knowing fully well both boys don't do relationships" Janet said while I dug into my meat pie listening to them

"Anyway your sister came here asking for you" Amaka said as she tried taking my donut, I slapped her hand away

"Hey mind yourself o, you ate your own I did not disturb you and she is my stepsister, anyway what does she want?" I asked

"She said you should meet her in her class" Janet said, I was about refusing when I remembered, if I don't go she might lie to dad about me and I would be grounded. I groaned and got up

"If your tongue touch this donut eh, Janet I trust you to keep it for me" I said and left for SS3B

I got to her class and found her sitting with her friends laughing loudly

Mad woman

And thank God it was only them in class, I cannot come and be saying good morning seniors

I mean seriously?!

"You asked for me" I stated calmly

"I thought you wouldn't come" she laughed

"Ah is she your sister?" the guy sitting next to her asked

"Step-sister" she corrected

"Hey cupcake" a familiar voice rang in my ears, Princewill. He was walking in with a guy.

"Cupcake? Since when did she become your cupcake" Suchima asked bewildered

"Mind your business jare " he said in a playful tone putting his arm around my shoulders pulling me close to him, I pushed him

"Keep your distance oo" I warned and he chuckled

"Is she your new side chick?" the guy he was with earlier asked

"I'm no one's side chick" I stated calmly even though I was already irritated, he smirked and my legs felt weak

Mehn, this guy's smirk could sweep me off my feet

Just then the bell rung and I groaned loudly

"Why call me here when you have nothing to say?" I said angrily to Chima and stomped out of the class.

School went by in a blur and I was waiting for the driver so I could go home and collapse on the bed. I plugged in my ear phones and listened to one of Ellie Goulden songs 'close to me' when someone sat next to me drawing my attention, the guy that asked if I was Princewill's side chick

"Hi"

"Hi" I responded with a smile

"Oh thank God, I thought you were mad at me" he said leaning back on the bench

"Let's start over, my name is Nifemi, but you can call me Nife"

Ooh Yoruba demon, ok ooo

"I'm Adah" and we shook hands and guess what I was being glared at again by the girls passing by

What is it with the glaring?!

Suddenly my phone rang, it was my driver

"Madam I dey the parking lot"

"Ok I'm coming" I said and hung up

"Wish we could talk more but my driver's here so maybe tomorrow, bye" I turned to leave but he called me back

"Let me have your number so we can talk" he said bringing out his phone, I called out my number while he typed and then dialled it, and my phone vibrated

"Ok see you tomorrow, bye" I waved

"Bye" he waved back

Let Chima be there, this is revenge for not waiting for me in the morning

Phew😪 glad I'm done with this chapter
