Adah

I woke up in the sick bay feeling confused. For a few seconds, I had absolutely no idea where I was. Then the memories from earlier came rushing back.

Stephanie.

Rachel.

The things they said.

My panic attack.

Princewill.

I sighed deeply and slowly sat up. I looked around my surroundings.

Shit.

I couldn't see clearly without my glasses. I was short sighted, which meant anything too far away from looked blurry.

I looked down and saw my shoes lying on the floor beside the bed. I slipped them on and began looking around for my bag.

Just then, I heard the door open.

Someone walked in. I turned around expecting to see the short, average woman in white who had been taking care of me.

Instead, I saw a really tall figure.

As far as my blurry vision could tell, it was a guy wearing the school's uniform. Once he came closer, I immediately recognized him.

"Oh, Nife! I didn't see you there," I said, sitting properly on the bed.

"I could tell," he chuckled lightly.

He walked towards me and squatted down until we were at eye level.

And let me tell you something... that was hot.

Idiot! My subconscious immediately rolled her eyes.

He took my hands in his, his eyes boring into mine.

"What happened back there?" he asked, concern filled his voice.

I shifted uncomfortably on the bed. It wasn't something I wanted to talk about.

"I-I... eh... I really don't want to talk about it" I answered.

He sighed.

For a moment I thought he would push me to explain. But he didn't. He respected my decision.

Then reached into his pocket.

"I found this." He handed me my glasses.

"Will you be able to cope through out today without them?"

I stared at the glasses in my hand. They were terribly damaged.

"Yeah, I have my spare contacts in my bag..."

I paused.

"That is, if I can find my bag."

My eyes darted around the room. When I didn't hear Nife say anything, I turned back towards him. He was staring at me. A small smile rested on his lips.

"What?"

"You know..." He tilted his head slightly.

"You look more beautiful without them."

My eyes widened.

"Um... er... thanks?"

I suddenly became very conscious of myself under his gaze.

"Stephanie and her gang got suspended for a week today" he said casually.

I hummed in response

"Let's look for your bag." He stood up.

"Oh. There it is." He reached behind the bed and picked up my bag. I immediately unzipped it and brought out my spare contact lenses. After putting them on, everything became clear again.
