Chap 24: Visit

I was done pulling off my uniform and placing them in the laundry basket when my phone rang. Walking over to it still in my inner wear, I checked the caller ID and it was Nife

I wonder why he's calling

I answered the call and placed it on speaker and walked over to my closet to get new clothes.

"Hey Nife"

"Hi, hope I'm not disturbing you?" He asked

"Nope, so why did you call?" I asked pulling my black leggings over my butt

"Nothing really, just wanted to hear your voice" he laughed at the other end

"Really?" I knew that wasn't the reason why he called me

"Ok maybe not, actually there's this party going on friday night and I was wondering if you could come with me, you know, as a date" he whispered the last words and I had to stifle my laugh. He was so adorable, I could imagine him being all shy and scratching the back of his head, definitely different from the way he looked in school today

"Soo is that a yes?" He asked, I then realized I had taken too long to answer his question

"Yeah, I will go with you but I'm not staying too long" I said pulling my peach fluffy sweater over my head, it reached my mid thighs.

"Great, no problem" I could literally hear the excitement in his voice

"But answer me first, why were you in a bad mood this morning, at school?"

"Oh that, hehe"

"Go on" I urged

"Actually the head girl and I had a disagreement which lead to a quarrel, so that's why I was mad"

"Oh, so what was the disagreement about?" I asked picking up my phone from my dresser and placing it against my ear

"It had to do with the school's upcoming functions I'm not suppose to disclose to students"

"Oh, honestly you scared the shit out of everyone in class" I chuckled

"Was I that scary?"

"You should have seen your face, you looked like you were going to turn into hulk" I laughed

"Ha ha, very funny Adah. What was the commotion all about anyway?"

"I don't even understand what Mike have against Natasha, she's been nothing but nice since I met her and some people testified to that" I replied thinking back on the scene

"Hmm, you maybe right but never judge a book by its cover, but by its contents Adah" his voice was almost unrecognizable after he said that and that got me confused

"What do you mean Nife?"

"Nothing really, I've never met this Natasha but as far as I know Mike, he can never make false accusations"

"Anyways, I have to go now, see you in school tomorrow"

"Yeah, bye"

"Bye" and he hung up.

I was about lying back on my bed when I remembered I had to deliver the notes and assignment questions Mike and I copied down for Princewill. Mike refused to go to his house with an excuse that he was still mad about the incident, so I had to go. I made up my mind to take a short nap before leaving.
