Y/N's POV

I sit up with a groan. I stayed up until 4 somethin just talking to Jiji. I check the time and it's 1:17. I sigh and stretch with a yawn. Then I launch myself from the bed and to the floor. I groan and lay there for a couple of moments. I eventually get up and make my way to my dresser for clothes. I go to my bathroom and shut the door behind me. I walk over to the sink and look at my reflection.

I sigh and remember the times when this woman constantly kicked me. I remember the look in her eyes and the sloppy movements of her arms. I also remember this boy coming into the situation and the feeling of fear that zapped through my heart. The feeling that I needed to protect him. So I did the first tuing I could think of and used my quirk to make her stop. She ended up in the hospital and was arrested for child abuse. I don't know what her whereabouts are now. She's probably out by now. I just hope she's better.

I shake my head and start getting ready. It's useless to think about those things now. It's in the past. Now the scars I have from that time are just stories. Just memories. I'm healthy and happy now.

I yelp and hit my head. "Ugh. Stupid tics. You suck dick." I glare at my hands, then my head jerks. "Rrrrgh! Stop!" I walk back to the sink and grab the bottle of antipsychotics and take some of the pills.

"YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" I yell as I chase Sho through the halls. "GIVE IT BACK!"

He laughs and runs into his room after teasing me by holding my phone in the air. "Why should I?"

I growl and bang on the door. "Because I need it!"

"To text your boyfriend?" He teases.

"Shut up!!!"

"Haha. You didn't deny it! So he is your boyfriend." He says this as a joke, not knowing that the situation came close to happening.

"Even if he was, why do you care?"

He pauses. "I don't."

"Lier. You're jealous, aren't you?" I flip the situation so I have the upper hand.

"N-no!" I hear the door unlock and Sho barges out, shoving the phone in my hand. "Here." He mumbles, not meeting my eye, and stomps past me.

"Thanks, buddy."

"Whatever." He puts up his hood and disappears into the spare room. I stare after in with a soft smile.

"Sorry, Sho. I'll take care of you after I'm finished, okay?" I whisper. Then I turn away and make my way downstairs.

I walk into the kitchen to find my foster mom making eggs. She turns to me. "Hey."

"Hey." I mumble back. She puts down the spatula and fully faces me.

"Where ya goin?"

"Friends."

"Amajiki?"

"Mhm." I open the fridge and grab an apple.

"How come he never comes here anymore?"

"He did, but you were at work. Like always." I reply sharply.

"Awe, well what about any other day?"

"No. Shoya is gonna bother him."

The woman sighs. "When did you and Shoya get so distant?"

"We're not distant. I'm just letting him know that there are other people put there. He needs to learn I'm not gonna be around forever."

"Then, shouldn't you spend as much time as you can with him while you're still around? That's all he wants."
