Tamaki's POV

I grab my hero costume and begin changing. I make sure I make the least sound as possible, not wanting to wake Mom or Mirio, who is sleeping on the couch downstairs again.

The feeling in my stomach doesn't go away as I fix my costume onto my arms and pull my hood up. Nothing can explain how nervous I feel. In the back of my mind, I know I shouldn't do this. It's dangerous and risky, especially alone. But I can't make myself stop. She got captured because of us and is probably having a hard time right now. Her tics go a little overboard sometimes, so I don't know if they're hurting her or not. Even if she's okay, I can't stand not doing anything anymore. They said not to intervene, but I agreed to take care of her the best I could. It was a promise. I intend to keep it.

When I'm ready, I slip out of my room, using the window. I drop down to the ground softly. When I stand up, I jump with a yelp, the shape of a person draped in shadows spooking me. My heart beat recovers when I recognize Mirio emerging from the dark shade. "Whatcha doing, Tamaki?" He asks.

He look at the ground, trying to think of a lie. "I- um... The- I- uh..."

"I think I know where she is." He states.

I look up at him. He also has his hero outfit on and is looking at me with a grin. "Um... Mirio?"

"I'm coming with you. You'll need all the help you can get and I don't think I can convince you to not go. And... It was sorta my fault Y/N got caught. So, I wanna help." Mirio's gaze, though I can't see him well, is regretful. He must've been taking this hard as well.

I pause before nodding. "Alright. You said you know where she is?"

He nods. "When patrolling, I noticed someone. I followed him a bit and got far enough to get the gist of the area she might be in, though I'm not sure if it's the correct place. It won't hurt to try, though, right?"

After a couple moments of conversing, we head to the place Mirio was explaining. The silent city makes me a bit uneasy, though I don't know why. It just seems strange, considering that there's always people around. Now it's just... Deserted. The stars above us twinkle peacefully. The moon is nowhere to be seen, but the uptown city still shines a ways from us.

We travel through the dark alleys as quickly and softly as possible. The buildings seem farther apart than I remember. The street lamps seem dimmer and the air cooler. It makes that feeling in my stomach grow. The aura of the night is practically foreshadowing my death.

When Mirio finally stops, I'm practically passing out due to my lungs refusing to take in air. When Mirio looks at me, his face turns into concern. "Buddy, you okay?" He says, patting my shoulder. I nod, finally letting out a breath. "Good. Cause there's no turning back now. I think this is the place." He points to a door behind him.

I take a deep breath before nodding. He gives me a reassuring look before opening a vent. When he continues into it, I follow after him. The small space is difficult to move through, though it's the only entrance beside the door. If we went through there, though, we risk entering the living room of some villian meeting. When he finally reaches an opening, he uses his quirk to turn himself around and make room for me. When we both look through it, the most idiotic thing comes before us.

"Another one please." Y/N says, still tied to a chair.

The man behind a bar sighs. "Fine." At first, I thought he was gonna give her a drink, but he reveals a cherry instead. He takes off the stem and tosses it into her mouth. She's always been good at catching stuff in her mouth, whether it was a berry or a chip. Sometimes even a pencil.

"Wow... Looks like she even makes friends with villians." Mirio whispers.

I nod. Looks like she's fine.
