Chapter 1 - Perfect

Tamaki's POV

I look up slightly but instantly look down at the math problems in front of me when E/C eyes meet mine. This feeling is so weird. It's like an ache in my heart, but a warm feeling at the same time. I must be going crazy.

I hear the girl sitting across from me say my name. I look up at Y/N and she smiles at me. "You okay? Are you tired now? Maybe we should go home." She begins packing up her schoolbooks and gathering her things. Then she looks at our other two friend, who also make up the big four, Mirio and Nejire. The big four are the top students and I just happened to make it. My name is Tamaki Amajiki. And I'm so confused right now.

Y/N is one of my childhood friends, also including Mirio. She used to be bullied due to her syndrome. She has Tourette syndrome. It developed around the age of 5. People made fun of her because of her tics and also fought with her because of the insults she threw at them. I thought she was actually saying them at one time, but soon realized they were unintentional.

Then, one day I was walking past the park when I saw her. It was frightful sight and it caused me to have a weird feeling in my stomach. A woman, her mother perhaps, was kicking her. The 5 year-old child was coughing blood and was crying. Then, the H/C haired girl caught my eye. I was sucked into her gaze. I felt a cold chill and I was enveloped into a world of black.

There she was. In that dark world, there was a girl sitting there. She was lost. She was... Broken.

Only when she broke eye contact did I snap back to reality. Then, without thinking, I ran at the woman. No defense, no protection, not even a stick. I ran blindly towards the psychotic woman. I don't really remember what happened afterwards, it was so long ago.

Then, Mirio talked to her first. Just like he spoke to me. He befriended her and introduced her to me. Her tics called me an elf. Then she laughed and said, "Elves are cute. I like them." I don't know, but ever since then, we've been inseparable. Always together. Always talking. Always helping one another. All three of us.

We all loved going to the park. Mirio would want us to go catch bugs by the creek. Oh, Y/N's tics were so adorable. She would always say, "Ewie squish it." or "It's evil, color of shit- sorry". She especially loved lizards. She would go, "Oh look a baby dragon lets keep it." So, that's when we got the idea of getting her an iguana for her 13th birthday when we were 2nd years in Junior High.

Mirio also got her a bunny. She called the iguana 'Dragon' and the bunny 'Fluffy'. Both very simple names but so much meaning behind them. She still has them both today. Whenever we go to her house, she will always bring them out so we can mess with them.

Now her we are. The big four of our 3rd year of High School. Our last year.

I look up at Y/N as she says, "Will you guys be okay doing the rest of this one your own?"

Nejire smiles and nods. "Of course. You go ahead and take Tamaki home. He has good enough grades anyway."

Y/N slings her bag on her shoulder and nods. "Okay oh you think you're smart" she facepalms and Mirio and Nejire start laughing. Y/N sighs and says goodbye.

"Bye Y/N. Bye Tamaki." Nejire and Mirio say.

"Bye." I mutter and finish packing my things. When me and Y/N are out of the room, I hear Nejire whisper, "Wouldn't they be good together?" And Mirio replies with a "Heck yeah." And the rest of it gets muffled.

A blush tints my cheeks and Y/N looks at me. "Uhhh... You okay, Jiji?" I nod and she shrugs. "Okay then. Just making sure you're not snorting cocaine." I can't help but chuckle at that tic.
