Chapter 7

Y/n's pov

"Is that how you should speak to the good of war"

       "Medusa how is he still talking", I asked quietly. "I can't turn gods into stone", she hissed. "Control yourself now, you hideous beast",  Ares snapped as I heard him land on the ground. "Leave my island", Medusa hissed as she squeezed me tightly. "I cannot since my mother has sent me here", Ares replied. "Hera", I questioned, I heard him hun in approval. "Why would she ssssent you here", Medusa asked. "To make that girl of yours into your own weapon", Ares answered. "I am no ones weapon", I snapped. "You'll be Medusa's only, if you don't want to then fine, let your lover die then", Ares said. "That bastard won't kill me, not when y/n here", Medusa hissed.

      Ares is the god of war, if Hera sent him, maybe I do have a chance. I unwrapped Medusa's tail around me and stepped away from her. "Medusa, let him train me", I said. "What..no! They can't be trusted", Medusa snapped. "No god can be trusted! Look what one has done to me", she screeched. I grabbed her face and kissed her lips, causing her to call down a bit, then broke the kiss. "Medusa, if there is anyway I can protect you, I will take it", I stated. "Ares's proposal will help me protect, please let him train me, for us", I begged. Medusa breath  began to slow down, then she released a sigh.

      "Fine, but you will not leave my island", she said. "And you must tell me why would Hera want to help us", Medusa asked Ares. "She wants to mess with father's schemes, especially if it involves one of his bastards", Ares answered. Medusa was slight for a moment. "Medusa, please, let me help you", I begged. "Fine, if you hurt her, I will kill you I don't care if you are a god", Medusa hissed at Ares. I heard her snakes hissed at him as well.

      "Now let's go", Ares fussed as I felt him all pass me. As he did he grabbed me by my collar. I smacked his hand from my collar. "I can walk just fine", I snapped, I heard him let out a laugh. "Good you're feisty", he said as we walked through the old ruins. After a while we entered the forest that was on the island. We entered a huge empty field that reside in the forest. "Catch", Ares said before throwing something. I held my hands out to catch the object. Once it made contact with my hands, it was a sword, luckily he didn't cut my finger.

      "Just letting you know, I don't care if you're blind or deaf whatever you are, I won't go easy on you", he stated before charging at me swinging his sword. I tried to block his attack. Luckily I did, but the force sent me straight to the ground. I fell harshly on my behind. Before I could get up I felt him place the tip of the sword under my chin.

        "Get up, we won't stop until you land a hit on me", he said. I realized that I won't get a wink of sleep tonight or many nights after this, but it's all worth it, to protect Medusa.
