Y/n's pov

It's been two months since Medusa and I started dating. At first it was kind of awkward. I mean I'm a human and she's a gorgon, but I loved her and she loves me so we can work it out. I sat on the ground with Medusa's head in my lap. I have learned that she likes it when people play with her hair, even if her hair was snakes. The snakes cuddled and nipped at my fingers as I messed with them. Since my senses are heightened it felt so much more pleasant.

     "Y/n, I need to ssspeak to you", Medusa said as she lifted her head off my lap. "Oh gods, are we breaking up", I gasped causing her to giggle. "No my love", she replied in a sad tone, why is she sad? "I have to tell you a story", she said as she grasped my hand.

"There was a human girl, a priestess to be more specific, who worked in the a temple owned by the goddess, Athena", she said as she stroked the knuckles of my hand. "She was considered the most beautiful woman amongst all the priestess in the temple, of course being beautiful was a gift, but also a curse", she said. "Her beauty attracted the god of sea, earthquakes, and storms, also he was the enemy of Athena", she stated I felt her hand grasp mines tightly and her breath sped up. "The god, Poseidon tried to seduce the priestess, of course she said no, so he forcibly took her in the temple of Athena", Medusa said. "She cried and cried out to the heavens for help from another god, Athena was the only one who answered", she continued. "Athena was furious, that her priestess was taken by a god in her temple and even worst by Poseidon, so she cursed the priestess", she said, I felt something wet drop on my hands, it was tears. "She turned her into a hideous gorgon, so no one can ever look at her in amazement or compassion, only fear and hatred", she finished. I lifted my hands and grasped her face, rubbing her cheeks with my thumb.

"I'm so sorry Medusa, I know I can't undo what happened, but I can help you heal from it", I said as I rubbed her cheek. I felt her hand grasped my hand. "I know you will, but that's not the issue", she replied. "What's the issue", I asked. "Since I have now became a monster, Zeus will send one of his children to kill me", she replied. "No, no he wouldn't", I said. "I won't let anyone touch you, I may be blind, but I will always protect you", I added. "My dear, the fates are never wrong when it's one of zeus's children future", she stated. "Fate can change Medusa, I will protect you", I said. "There are many weapons here I can use, I will use them to protect you, no matter what", I said.

"No I will fight him myself, if it's my fate to die, then let me die", she snapped. "No! I won't let you die", I retorted. "How will you train yourself then, you have no teacher or partner to train with", she asked.

"I'll train her", a booming voice said. Medusa wrapped herself around me to protect me from the person. "What do you want", she hissed at the person.
