Chapter 2

Y/n's pov

    I honestly lost count about how long I've been on this island with Medusa. I think it's been about two months now I've been here now, weird right. Every time I thought about leaving I would always just distracted myself. Besides I can't really leave, since I can't navigate through the ocean by myself. And for the main reason I don't want to leave Medusa even if she is a supposedly a vicious gorgon that will kill you without hesitation, that's what people told me.

    The kids from the slums would always tell stories about monsters, I didn't really believe them. When I told them that they said they didn't care since I was never going to see them anyway. kids are cruel these days, viscous little bastards. 

   "Human", Medusa called causing me to turn around. "Its y/n", I replied as I heard her slitter towards me. "What are you doing", she asked. "Thinking", I replied as I face forward again. "Do humans think a lot these days now", she said. "Medusa, were you human", I asked. She was quiet for a moment. "Yes, I was", she answered. "If you were human why are you a gorgon now", I asked. "It takes a disgusting god and a angry goddess", she answered. "What do you mean", I asked. Before she could say anything she stopped. "Someone's here", she hissed the slithered away. "Wait up", I shouted then sped walk after her. As I was running I bumped into someone's chest.

    "What are ye doin here", he snapped as he grabbed my arm. "Let go of me", I snapped causing him to cackle. "Must be me lucky day we kill a gorgon and get to play with you", he chuckled as I felt him reach for my chest. I sent my right foot straight up, hitting him straight where the sun doesn't shine. "YOU WHORE", he screamed as I heard him collappsed to the ground. He released my grip as I was stepping back I tripped over a pillar. "Now you're gonna get it", he sneered. I heard him approach me. His steps stop then I heard the sound of slithering. The man screamed as he Medusa wrapped her coils around him.

     "Don't you lay a finger on her", she growled then roared at him. The man screams stopped as he was turned into stone. I heard Medusa breathe started to get back to normal. "Are you hurt", she asked and I shook my head. "You're afraid of me now", she asked. "Scared of you, I was more scared of him", I chuckled. "Thank you", I said with a smile. I heard her gasp as I did. 

   I heard the sound of footsteps off in the distance not too far from us. As I stepped to the side my foot stepped on something,a sword. "I KILL YOU BOTH YA", the man screamed as he charged at us. I picked up the sword and ran straight towards the man's voice. I swung my sword with all my might. As I did I heard the sword cut into something, the sound of flesh. Blood sputtered out of the man's body as his body collapsed to the ground, with the sword still in his sword. I heard Medusa slitter next to me.

    "I could have turned him into stone you know",she stated. I turned towards her and gave her my biggest smile I could muster, a real smile.

    "Consider this payback fro saving me earlier", I giggled.
