i slip my textbooks in my locker, hoping it would lift some of the weight off of my back. "and she gave you her number?!" jisung asks, him and all the boys talk about hyunjin getting ara's number. that's all they talked about since they sat in my car. "yea" hyunjin says and i peek over my locker to look at them.
hyunjin has a bright smile on his face. his cheeks slightly red as he thinks about her.
"moonie! can you believe this?!" jeongin says to me as i shut my locker. "well yeah, if she's the one sending the letters," i shrug, "it'd be weird if she didn't make a move, it's been like a month or two since mystery girl started dropping them off."
"she speaks the truth" felix points to me and i raise my eyebrows up and down swifltly. "i always do" i rub my eyes quickly, yawning.
"you okay moonie?" seungmin asks and i nod. "yeah, i was up late still doing the stupid history essay and now i have to do my sociology project" i sigh, leaning back onto the lockers. "i can help you with that" hyunjin says, it was the one class only him and i had together. "thanks jinnie, but if i don't do it by myself, i won't like learn anything and then i'll be confused when i present it."
a few minutes later seungmin reminds us that the bell would be going off in a few minutes so we start to walk in the direction of our class. "can we go get food after school?" jisung asks me as we walk up the steep staircase. "we literally just ate sung! how are you thinking about food already?" i ask him when we reach the second floor hallway and he shrugs.
"i just-"
"hey, illiad!" i hear a voice call behind us. it takes my attention away from the boys. i turn around and so do the rest of the boys at the sudden shout of my name.
it's jaemin.
"oh shit" i say but smile when he does. "who's that?" hyunjin asks. felix turns to me, "wait is that?" he asks me and i raise my eyebrows. "i'll see you guys in class" i walk away from them but i can still hear them talking. "seriously who is that?" i can hear hyunjin ask the rest of the boys a second time.
"hey," i walk up to jaemin, "you came today." his bright smile stays on his face. "indeed i did, i couldn't keep pushing this back. plus i figured i'd see you here so i had a face to look forward to" he shrugged and i laughed. "yes of course, do you have your schedule on you?"
