hyunjin sits in one of the many booths that line the front windows of the small coffee shop. his knee bounces up and down as he waits for his old friends to get there, lightly shaking the table. the movement of the table shakes the coffee in the cup that sits on top of it.

he begged the boys to meet up with him and when they finally agreed he asked them to not tell illiad, their dear friend and the person he once trusted most in the world.

with every opening of the door, hyunjin waits for the boys to come piling in, but they don't. his heartbeat gets faster and when he realizes it's not them, it calms back down and he takes a deep breath out.

suddenly the small bell rings above the door and his old friends come walking in all together. they all softly laugh as they enter. the older boys have also joined them.

they look around and when they spot hyunjin they walk over, blank looks suddenly falling on all of their faces. the boy softly waves as they all sit down in the large booth.

"hi" he says, quite nonchalantly. like they had never stopped talking.

felix's head snaps in the boys direction when he talks to the group. "why are we here" he says, the tone in which he speaks in is deep and demanding. none of the boys have ever heard such a tone come out of the bubbly boy, he was never mad and there was clear anger interlaced within his voice.

it was quite scary to them.

"um, i don't know, i just wanted to talk and see you guys" hyunjin says to felix. the rest of the boys heads snap back and forth to look at the two boys.

felix continues to glare at hyunjin before he opens his mouth to speak.

"you could've done that a while ago" the boy snaps back and hyunjin nods, his head slightly falling. "i know" he says quietly and a deep silence falls over all of them.

"why didn't you want us to tell moonie?" minho asks and hyunjins head raises again. he thinks back to what he had said to her. he didn't mean to be so harsh but he was so angry in the moment, he couldn't help it, the words just came out of him.

he couldnt help it and god did he regret it. he knew that even if he wanted to, he would never be able to be friends with moonie again. he didn't know if he wanted to, he couldn't believe that the girl had done that to him. he knew if he told them, they'd tell him he totally overreacted.
