luckily before they had gotten into my car, i had successfully convinced the other boys to ride with the older ones on our way to the restaurant.
i was going to have a final moment with jaemin alone. a final car ride with him.
just him and i.
when we get in, we both sit in the car quietly before i put the key in the ignition and start it.
the car quickly comes to life, heat comes out of the opened vents and a sweet song comes from the speakers placed sporadically around the car.
i sigh and rest my head back on the headrest, my hand laying itself down on the center console.
the taller boy reaches over and takes my hand in his, caressing the soft skin between my pointer finger and thumb with his slender finger.
he sighs too and i look over at him. his side profile is beautiful. he has the absolute most perfect face and i'm so beyond jealous of him. perfect nose. perfect lips. perfect eyes. perfect jawline. perfect eyebrows. everything about him is just perfect.
it's not fair.
a few strands of his black hair fall in front of his face and he blows them up and away.
"you okay?" i ask him and he turns to look over at me. "you want me to be honest?" jaemin asks me, cocking his eyebrow. i nod and he turns his head to look at the ceiling of the car.
"no" he says simply and the corners of my mouth turn downward forming a frown.
"no?" i question, "why?" the frown stays on my face and he just sighs again. "i don't know, i know that in two days, you're going to be gone" he bites his lower lip before looking over at me. i can see the slight hurt in his eyes.
we're quiet while we stare at each other. at least until he speaks again.
"moonie, you and all the boys are the first friends i have ever really made, i always moved around and no one wanted to get to know me, but you, especially you, were different" jaemin continues to spew out words. his voice breaks slightly.
