mariah carey's all i want for christmas is you blasts through the speakers in my house as the sweet scent of freshly baked cookies swirls through the air. my mom, felix, seungmin and i all bustle around the kitchen together, shaping cookies and popping the sweet treats into the oven so they could get baked and be eaten.

i tried to get all the boys over but they all had their own things to do besides felix and seungmin. the two boys were on there way over the minute i had texted them.

they sang and danced with my mom in the kitchen as all four of us twirled around each other trying to make as many cookies as we could before the party tomorrow. "felix can you hand me that rack so i can cool these off and get another batch in the oven?" i ask him and he nods, grabbing the metal rack and handing it to me. i set it up on the limited counter space we now have due to all the cookies taking up the space in the kitchen.

"thank you sir" i say as i move the cookies from the warm pan to the rack where they could cool off.

"where's jaemin, what's he doing today?" my mom asks as her and seungmin roll bits of dough into balls and place them on a lined sheet. "he's doing something with his family today, he's coming over tomorrow though mom, don't you worry" i say as i take their finished tray of rolled dough balls and place it in the oven.

"jaemin really replaced hyunjins number one spot on the favorite list" seungmin says and we all chuckle at his words. "there is no favorite list," my mom softly scolds the tall boy, "i love each of you in your own little quirky way."

"yeah but you love jaemin and hyunjin more" felix says, small giggles coming from him. i watch as my mother takes the back of her dough riddled hand, using it to softly smack the boy.

we all laugh as my father comes in from outside. he's wrapped in his thick coat and a hat covers his head. he shakes his boots off and some snow falls onto the carpet that lays in the front of the house. "i think that storm they said is coming tomorrow is here already" he does a quick shiver before walking away. "no! it's supposed to get worse tomorrow! is it bad out now?" my mom yells to him as he continues on walking upstairs.

he was most likely going to change into a different pair of clothes so he could warm up.

"yes i'm absolutely freezing!" he yells down to her.
