Part 8: Our New Home

They all were laying down in the sand, with cold pop in their hands. Tigey had a big bowl of ice water in front of her.
"Hey Tigey! Thanks for showing us how to spawn stuff! That really helped!"
"No problem! Now since we are going to be living here, we can start making more like home, or home like." Tigey said.
"This is going to be a great thing for all of us." Summer said. They watched the sun as is slowly went down. The waves of the ocean filled their minds with sanity and tranquility. Peacefully and calmly, they smiled and looked at the sky. They watched the sunset with wonder in their eyes. The gleam in their eyes reassured them that they will be alright. When the sun was gone, day turned to night. They all sit up and stretch, Steven, however was passed out.
"Nighttime!!!" Daniele screamed
"Daytime!!!" Summer replied. They both laughed, and got up. Tigey stretched and looked at Daniele.
"You ready to go to the hut?"
"Yeah! I need to get some rest anyway! I think Steven found his spot to sleep for the night."
"Aren't you gonna bring him back to the hut!?" Tigey asked.
"Ha! Not me!" Daniele instantly replied.
"Same here!" Summer agreed with Daniele.
"Well I am too tired to do it so.." Tigey said
"Just throw some branches and leaves on him and he will be fine." Daniele said.
"I am even too lazy to do that!" Summer said.
"I guess I will do it then...I will meet you guys back at the hut." Daniele said sadly. Tigey and Summer walked backed to the hut, and Daniele went to search for some twigs and leaves. She walked into the forest and started to pick some up. She heard a stick crack a few yards away. She ran back and slide into the hut.
"I just heard someone! In the forest!"
"We got to go get Steven!" Tigey said. Tigey poked her head out of the hut and looked around." we are good for now but we got to be quick."
"We got to be ninjas god dammit!" Daniele whispered." They might have night vision goggles!"
"We can't take any chances! We need to sneak out." Summer said.
"Like I just said...we need to be ninjas." Daniele said. Tigey crawled out first and looked around, she gave a waving signal to come out. Next to come out was Summer, she whale crawled out and went by Tigey. Daniele was last and she quietly got out. They went behind a near by tree and looked around.
"I think it is clear. What should we do now?" Summer looked at Daniele.
"Well one of us is going to get Steven, while the others look out to make sure no one is watching."
"I will go get him." Tigey said. Tigey walked over to Steven. Daniele and Summer ran behind a random tree. Tigey grabbed Steven's collar and dragged his along the sand. She got to the hut, Daniele and Summer ran over and got Steven into the hut. Tigey pulled him into the hut, Daniele and Summer crawled into the hut and covered the entrance. Steven woke up startled and looked around.
"Oh calm your tits! You're fine!" Daniele said. Steven glanced at her and Daniele smiled.
"Tigey, what happened?"
"You passed out on the beach and we heard noises outside. So we went to get you."
"What noises did you hear?"
"Twigs breaking like a person was stepping on them."
"Ok well glad I am back in here then." Steven sat back against the hut.
"You're welcome!!!" Daniele said loudly.
"Thank you!!!! Goodness!" Steven sat up. Daniele and Summer sat down on the opposite side of the hut. They sat there in silence as they listened to the sound of the ocean. Daniele listened closely and heard more foot steps.
"I keep hearing them." She whispered.
"Keep hearing what? The footsteps?" Summer asked.
"Yea. They aren't getting louder or softer. It sounds like consistent, like they are patrolling."
"Maybe you are just going crazy because I can't hear them."
"No no, hang on.. I hear them too." Tigey said staring at the entrance of the hut. Everyone looked at the entrance and heard the footsteps. Tigey poked her head out and looked towards the sound. She crawled out and walked around slowly and carefully. Daniele poked her head out to watch Tigey walk around. Tigey walked back to the hut and crawled back in.
"Well. Did you see anything?" Summer asked.
"There are at least 4 guys out there patrolling with guns."
"Well lets get rid of them." Steven stood up.
"Sit down!!" Daniele pointed to the ground. Steven sat down and curled up into the corner.
"We can't go out there!!" Daniele loudly whispered." A group of four against armed men!"
"Well we have powers now!" Summer said
"We barely know how to use them! And you think we are just gonna go attacking them when we don't even know the basics!"
"Just with the powers we have know we can destroy them!" Summer said.
"Sorry but that isn't entirely true. You see, even though you know about some of the powers, does not mean you have them down pat.... You still need training!" Tigey said.
"But can't we use what we have now to kill them?"
"That isn't exactly true. You might know about the power and how to use it. But when you are in a fight you can't concentrate on what power you want to use. So in order to use the power by a gesture then you will need training." Tigey explained.
"But what if you just quickly taught us the gestures now so we can use them?" Steven asked.
"Not really! Because the training will help you get the gesture right. One wrong movement and you got a completely different power." Tigey answered
"Oh.....Well then....I am just gonna sit down now." Steven sat down
"Then since you are so smart how are we gonna get rid of them?" Summer said.
"Summer......." Daniele put her hand on her face" You.....are....such.....a..smart-ass!" Summer began laughing loudly. Tigey covered her mouth and everything went quiet. They heard footsteps get closer to them.
"You see what you did!" Tigey whispered loudly "You just attracted all of the guards over here!"
"It isn't my fault Daniele made me laugh." Summer said pointing at Daniele.
"Don't blame this on me. You are the one who decided to be a smart-ass! I was just pointing it out!" Daniele whispered loudly.
"Both of you stop arguing right now before I shove sand in your mouths!" Tigey said.
"You are not gonna be shoving sand into my mouth anytime soon." Daniele said.
"Well then will please stop arguing. They are walking closer and closer here." Tigey said. The noise of footsteps got louder. They all sat down and scooted to where the entrance was invisible to their eyes. The footsteps stopped right by the entrance of the door.
"Hey!! I think I might have found something!" One of the guards said. Another pair of footsteps stopped outside the entrance.
"This better be good Carl!"
"It is Bob! Look!" Carl pointed.
"I don't see anything! What are you pointing at!"
"You don't see that!?"
"No! I don't! It is just looks like leaves were spread out!"
"Yeah! It can be an entrance!"
"Carl!! That...is...the most......Stupidest thing I have ever heard in my entire life!" Bob started to walk away.
"Wait! Just give it a chance!"
"Let it go Carl!" They began to walk away. Daniele, Summer, Steven, and Tigey looked out of the hut. They saw the two men walking away. They go back into the hut.
"Ok how did they not find us!" Summer said surprised.
"That is what you call powers." Tigey said.
" You did that!" Steven said.
"Wrong! Daniele did that." Everyone looked at Daniele as she looked confused.
"Uum.....How could that have been me?"
"Easy! You didn't use your mind. You were in a protective state that automatically hid the hut."
"Excuse me!?" Daniele still said confused.
"As soon as he called his partner over, your protective state kicked in and it hid the hut! You used a power that you didn't know about!" Tigey said
"Can anyone do this?" Summer asked.
"Only people who have the tendency to stand up to others and protect others."
"But can everyone do it?" Summer asked again.
"If trained well enough, yes."
"Can we just go to bed? It has been a long and tiring day." Steven asked.
"Sure." Summer and Daniele said. They all sat down and tried to get comfortable.
"Goodnight everyone. See you in the morning." Daniele said quietly
"Goodnight." Everyone else said back.
