Part 12: A New Beginning

Steven slowly woke a couple hours later and saw a white blur in his face. He scrambled to get up to see the white blur turned into a piece of ripped up paper falling to the floor. He picked it up and read what it said 'Don't worry we are gone for long. We just went to run an errand. Just sit tight and wait til we get back.' He looked puzzled but shook it off. He stood up and stretched. As he got done stretching Daniele, Summer, and Tigey walked into the cave laughing.
"Oh look the sleepy head finally woke up!" Summer said with a smile
"Dude you just woke up!? We were gone for close to three hours!" Daniele said in surprise.
"I was tired..what else could I do.. Plus it is really nice back there." Steven said still a little sleepy. "However I think I could of gotten a little bit more sleep."
"Hey..well... At least you caught up on your sleep... Now you aren't gonna be crabby anymore." Tigey said stretching.
"Yeah.. True.. So anyway.. What were you guys doing for the three hours you were gone?" Steven said curiously.
"Okay we will tell you but come sit down over by us and we get out the lunch we bought." Daniele waved him over. Steven slowly and tiredly walked over to them and sat down, I he rubbed his eyes and yawned. Summer reached into the knapsack and pulled out a four cheeseburgers, four large fries, a large Mountain Dew, Pepsi, sprite, and water. After they all got settled one who got what they began to eat.
"It has been awhile since I got to eat warm food! Damn I am hungry!" Daniele said taking a big bite out of her cheeseburger.
"I know same here! This is such a good reward for what we all did!" Summer agreed as she put three fries in her mouth.
"The big brains outta this whole group what Tigey! Without her ability to do that we wouldn't be free." Daniele said with a smile as she took a drink out of her Mountain Dew.
"Okay what happened in the three hours I was passed out in the back!? Oh no! Did you rob a fast food restaurant!?" Steven said in shock. Everyone laughed but Steven who was then confused on what just happened.
"No no.. Haha we got these for the amazing thing we did!" Daniele said cheerfully. Steven got a rush of relief and put his hand on his chest.
"Oh thank god!!! I was gonna flip a damn lid!! Okay so what happened that made this so rewarding?" Steven said still puzzled. Tigey put down her burger and walked to Steven. "We finally got the Government off our backs for awhile."
"What!? How!?" Steven said with wide eyes. Daniele cleared her throat.
"Tigey over here gave the idea of erasing and brainwash people's minds. Then Summer gave the other idea of brainwashing the guards on that island to make them forget us and make them think they are civilians. So Summer wrote a note and we headed off onto the island, where we all used the powers we had, and for me and Summer, learned, to erase all the guards memories and brainwashed them... We then took them to a town, to where they now think they just moved to." Daniele took a breath and another bite out of her burger.
"That's...AMAZING!!" Steven said excited. "Why didn't you guys wake me!? I would've loved to go and helped!" Steven said disappointed.
"Trust me when I say this... You did help... You got sleep.. We didn't wake you because we didn't want you being all cranky and anime Yb and getting us in trouble.. So you did help." Summer smiled and drank her sprite.
"So.. I did help??" Steven said in surprise.
"Yeah! You did! And don't think we are saying that just because... Because we are telling the truth..you getting your sleep. Means you okay you will have more of an open mind and clearer thoughts when learning your powers." Daniele said. Steven smiled and opened up the bag and took a bite out of his burger.
"Ladies and one dude!! This is the start of a new beginning for us!" Daniele lifted her soda, and every OK me else followed. "To a new beginning!!" Everyone repeated her and cheered. They all drank some soda and continued to eat.
