maybe I was only meant to love in distance
always so good but never good enoughjust maybe that was the purpose of my existence
or the bittersweet results of never growing upyou see, there are people meant to be seen,
exposed by the sunlight, studied by those eyesthen there are people like me, the ones you find in between
mediocre beings, hiding behind the rain and the grey skiesa breaking point, a melancholic ending
the wish of my presence slowly and steady descendingthis is it, I tell myself
bound to happen when you are truly being you
what did you expect? your true colors will leave you having no one to turn toit is so dark inside my heart, but I am used to it
the lights turned off, I hide away, brightness becoming the fear, even if it's just a little bitmaybe I was meant to love you in distance,
just maybe when I got lost in the comfort of your eyes, I allowed my reality, even just for a moment, to be twisted
